    "requisitionDescription": "<p data-pasted=\"true\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Spectrum Health &amp; Human Services</strong></p><p><strong>Agency Profile</strong>: Spectrum Health &amp; Human Services respectfully partners with adults, children, and families as they recover from behavioral, emotional, mental health and/or substance related disorders by offering individualized and meaningful opportunities of hope, empowerment and support to achieve self-defined improvements in their quality of life.</p><p>LOCATION: 2201 Pine Ave, Niagara Falls</p><p><strong>SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION: </strong></p><p>ACT Employment Specialist provides vocational/employment support to individuals who are receiving services from the Spectrum ACT team.</p><p><strong>MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Knowledge and demonstration of agency core values in day-to-day activities</li></ul><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Assist individuals with identifying employment/vocational goals.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Explore with individuals the steps needed to obtain Employment/Vocational Goals.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Conduct vocational assessments when needed.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Assist with job exploration that matches an individual&rsquo;s strengths and desires.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Assist with developing skills necessary to choosing, securing and maintaining employment.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Assist with the electronic submission of applications and resumes.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Educate individuals served and staff on Employment/Vocational services available to them.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Assist individuals with overcoming barriers they may face in obtaining their Employment/vocational goals</li><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Provide rapid non-traditional employment opportunities to those individuals seeking such goals</li><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Provide resources for individuals and staff regarding Work Incentive Benefits for those on SSDI/SI who pursue vocational goals</li><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Network with local Vocational Programs to assist individuals with Vocational goals</li><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Ability to utilize electronic data systems (i.e. electronic records and computers).</li><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Provide case management for clients including coordinating and monitoring these activities.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Conduct ACT comprehensive assessments to assist in the development of treatment plans in conjunction and collaboration with the treatment team and providers.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Document and maintain an individual&rsquo;s permanent record.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Responsible in providing individual with supportive therapy, linkages to support services as well as assistance in the development of symptom management and rehabilitation skills.</li></ul><p><strong>SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Proficient in the use of computer software such as MSWord, Outlook, as well as the use of the internet to complete job searches and applications.</li></ul><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 24px;\">Must have some degree of knowledge and experience of vocational programs available for individuals.</li></ul><p><strong>EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS for ACT Employment Specialist:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Human Services or related field plus one year work experience with mental health recipients OR</li></ul><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">Associate degree in Human Services or related field with two years&rsquo; experience working with mental health recipients</li><li style=\"margin-left: 48px;\">LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC(P), PHD, PSYD, RN, CASAC preferred</li></ul><p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong></p><ul><li>Three years work-related experience</li></ul><p><strong>OTHER:</strong></p><ul><li>Must possess a valid Driver&rsquo;s License with an acceptable driving record &amp; drive in the community with own vehicle.</li></ul><p><strong>COMPENSATION:</strong></p><p>$23.00-$29.00/hourly</p>\n",
