Description
Valero is looking for an HVAC Mechanic to join the Facility Maintenance team at the Valero Headquarters in San Antonio, TX. The HVAC Mechanic Ensures that all mechanical equipment and systems are installed, operated, monitored, and maintained as designed, which in turn keeps the facility up and running at all times for all sites within the greater San Antonio area. Duties may include:
Provide technical guidance and assistance to the facility maintenance group in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems. Direct, monitor, and evaluate work performed on HVAC systems and equipment by outside service contractors. Perform diagnostic testing and repairs on equipment and systems. Perform installation, adjustment, repair, and preventive maintenance on various types of equipment and systems. Operate, maintain, and repair motors, pumps, belts, fans, and refrigeration equipment. Disassemble equipment, and/or performs adjustments, repairs, or part replacement. Utilize computerized Building Management Systems (BMS) to operate, monitor, maintain and program HVAC systems. Respond to service calls on mechanical equipment and performs adjustments and/or repairs. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with established building codes and safety procedures. Implement a consistent and functional Preventive Maintenance program for all mechanical equipment and systems. Ensure management is up-to-date on the status of all projects and the associated costs. Improve the department’s efficiency and reliability while maintaining the department’s safety record. Facilitate communication and direction between Supervisory personnel and facility HVAC group. Install, maintain, and repair all HVAC and ventilating systems. Utilize Building Management Systems (BMS) controls to adjust, monitor, and operate HVAC systems. Provide service at all Valero sites as required. This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
