    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>The Fleet Service Technician services, maintains, and diagnoses fleet vehicles to ensure there’s no interruption in business operations and that the fleet meets all safety regulations. This role has accountability to maintain the fleet equipment with a particular emphasis on preventive maintenance. The technician addresses reporte issues, and ensures vehicles are in top condition to keep employees safe and business moving.</p><p><strong>What You'll Be Doing:</strong></p><ul><li>Repairs, maintains, services, and inspects fleet vehicles, equipment, and components.</li><li>Repairs, maintains, services, and inspects all components pertaining to medium trucks, heavy duty trucks,</li><li>light duty vehicles (ex: engine chassis, air brakes/ABS, steering, suspension, transmissions, clutches, differentials, hydraulic and electrical systems).</li><li>Operates vehicles, equipment, and tools (ex: power tools, mobile lifts, wheel balancer, test equipment, etc.).</li><li>Performs, coordinates, oversees, and audits DOT/ANSI/OSHA inspections, troubleshooting, and</li><li>diagnosing.</li><li>Performs general body repair and fabrication to cab and bodies/beds of light, medium, and heavy-duty</li><li>trucks and trailers.</li><li>Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.</li><li>Initiates service calls and orders parts needed for equipment maintenance and repairs.</li><li>Inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs mobile hydraulic systems, hoses, lines, cylinders, pumps, power take-offs, control valves, relief valves, holding valves, selector valves and various hydraulic components.</li><li>Follows all safety standards put forth by Badger and transportation regulatory authorities.</li><li>Sets priorities for completion for inspections and maintenance.</li><li>Maintains and keeps service truck clean and presentable.</li><li>Travels to make remote repairs.</li><li>Reinforces safety practices and transportation policies.</li><li>Removes fleet assets from service as required to maintain fleet safety and mechanical functionality.</li><li>Collaborates on design modifications and provides feedback to engineering on recurring opportunities for design improvements.</li><li>Collaborates on fleet safety practices, including documentation (policies, instructions, guidelines, etc.).</li><li>Supports asset tracking, utilization, and various system updates.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What We're Looking For:</strong></p><ul><li>Education: high school diploma or equivalent plus automotive repair training from a technical or vocational school or similar.&nbsp;</li><li>Paccar technician certifications and/or National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) credential preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>Minimum 5-years’ experience with diesel truck maintenance and repair. ·</li><li>Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred or must have the ability to obtain a CDL.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience driving a manual transmission (10-18 speed) preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated ability to perform work under minimal supervision.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and eye for detail. · Fully applies oneself to the requirements of the position.&nbsp;</li><li>Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds, standing/walking for extended periods, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in various weather conditions</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>#BDGRJobsHP</p>",
