We’re looking for a Program Manager with remarkable program management skills to lead the scale of our reimbursement programs in Tanzania.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"color: rgb(22, 145, 121); font-size: 18pt\">About Maisha Meds</span><br>Maisha Meds is an organization dedicated to improving health care in Africa through best-in-class technology. </p>\n<p>Founded in 2017, Maisha Meds has created the largest digital network of private pharmacies and clinics across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, and Zambia through our mobile software.</p>\n<p>Our platform not only helps these providers improve business by making sales, managing inventory, and tracking patients. It also reimburses them for providing high-quality care for malaria, family planning, and HIV prevention at discounted costs. <br>Maisha Meds logs millions of patient visits every year and has provided hundreds of thousands of reimbursements to date.</p>\n<p>We harness data from our network of pharmacies and clinics to reveal health and market trends, which allows us to design better solutions that work for the people we serve.</p>\n<p>We have worked with leading academic institutions such as UC Berkeley, Emory University, and KEMRI to evaluate the effectiveness of our programs.</p>\n<p>Research shows that our system is able to significantly increase the uptake of long-acting contraceptives and appropriate malaria case management.<br>Our work is funded by a range of partners including scale-up funding from the Global Fund, WAM foundation and the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation.</p>\n<p>This will help Maisha Meds greatly expand its mobile software to 7,500 total pharmacies and clinics by late 2026, delivering subsidized care to nearly a million new patients in the process.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"color: rgb(22, 145, 121); font-size: 14pt\">Our Reimbursement Programs</span><br>We deliver affordable, high quality care for malaria case management, women’s health, HIV prevention, Vision and more - through our innovative platform.</p>\n<p>Through the program, patients receive subsidized care and service providers receive financial incentives for following recommended guidelines of care. </p>\n<p><br><span style=\"color: rgb(22, 145, 121); font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">About the Role</span><br>We are looking for an enthusiastic and diligent team member who would join our reimbursement Program team with a key focus on launching and growing our programs operations in Tanzania.</p>\n<p>The candidate should have a background and leadership experience in customer excellence in the public health sector, pharmaceutical sector or a related space.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate should have experience supporting digital products or solutions, displaying conversancy and a firm grasp of technical products.</p>\n<p>This candidate enjoys a fast-paced working environment, loves working with and interacting with customers, and mentoring other team members to create a vibrant customer support culture at Maisha Meds.</p>\n<p>The role requires a customer-centric leader whose mission is to build strong relationships with our partner pharmacies, making them champions of our public health programs. </p>\n<p><br>This role is based in Dar es Salam with frequent travel across the country.</p>\n<p>You will report to the Associate Director, East Africa Programs and will hire and supervise a team as the program grows.<br>The start date is 1 June, 2026, and compensation is commensurate with experience.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"color: rgb(22, 145, 121); font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span><br>1. Lead in country program launch by onboarding and supporting a network of pharmacies &amp; private clinics participating in Maisha Meds reimbursement programs</p>\n<p>2. Establish systems, processes, controls and teams to penetrate new markets, onboard new facilities and oversee these relationships<br>3. Build and lead our public health programs operations, supply chain and training curriculum to support program growth<br>4. Support Loyalty Program facilities through continuous engagement and calls to ensure:<br>  a). They are implementing the program with integrity; fraud detection &amp; investigation<br>  b). Competency review of service providers offering loyalty services (do we have the right staff? Do they know who an eligible patient is? Are they utilizing the loyalty application maximally? etc. <br>  c). Availability of loyalty branding materials at the facility<br>  d). Loyalty products are stored as expected at the facility<br>  e). Performance (transactions volumes, compliance &amp; inventory management) is at par with expectations<br>5. Lead identification of demand generation partnerships that directly contribute to reaching target beneficiaries of the program.<br>6. Identify gaps in program growth &amp; performance within the country and drafting strategies to address these gaps.<br>7. Develop relationships with our in-country NGO partners and funders.<br>8. Foster relationships with relevant professional bodies and government officials who are key stakeholders in success of our Programs (existing relationships with such stakeholders is an added advantage).<br>9. Work with advisors to develop clinical protocols to ensure pharmacies and clinics provide high-quality care.<br>10. Report program progress and opportunities of growth to the Vice President of Programs.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"color: rgb(22, 145, 121); font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span><br>1. Academic qualifications: ideally in customer service, business, public health or other related field<br>2. You care deeply about what we’re building and how it may change how healthcare is accessed for millions of patients<br>3. Experience:  Program management experience is critical for this role<br>4. Having a background in public health is an added advantage<br>5. Comfortable with technology - direct experience working with a technology product to execute your job <br>6.
