Description
SUMMARY: Responsible for the maintenance of all the equipment at SupplyOne Virginia, Inc. to include production, warehouse, the office area, and the physical building. Maintenance to be performed will cover electrical (up to and including three phase), plc, relay logic, hydraulics, pneumatics. As a member of SupplyOne’s team the chosen candidate must be able to work alone or as a member of a team with little or no supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates maintenance activities with Equipment Operators and Supervisors in the department where the maintenance is to be performed, in a timely, efficient, and safe manner
Apply maintenance troubleshooting skills in a wide variety of machine applications in response to production requirements
Troubleshoot plc, control wiring, relay logic, motor drive circuits, control system devices, photo eyes, limit switches, proximity switches, and transducers
Utilize Digital Volt Meter, Mega OHM Meter and AMP probes to diagnose electrical problems
Perform electrical, installation, repair and service of machinery and support systems as required
Perform systematic preventive maintenance, including electrical and mechanical adjustments, inspections and minor repairs on plant equipment as necessary, and visually detect any issues
Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment on a regular scheduled basis
Prioritizes repairs due to machine breakdowns over projects and other tasks
Maintain an organized clean and safe work area
Works closely with shift supervisors and machine operators to learn what is happening to each machine on a daily basis
Comply with area Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA regulations, and SupplyOne’s safety procedures.
Design and fabricate parts to improve machine / equipment operation and safety
Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and of Company assets
Ensure a professional image for SupplyOne with internal as well as external customers and vendors
The individual wear safety glasses, closed toe shoes, closed heel shoes required in production area
Any/all other duties assigned
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and safely. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Above average mechanical knowledge of gears and gear ratios
Able to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
Knowledge of electrical wiring and circuits including three phase
Knowledge of PLC functions
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatics
Forklift certification and ability to maintain certification
Problem solving, time management, and communication skills a must
Pre-employment drug screening required.
If the candidate is neither certified, degreed, or licensed, they might be required to successfully complete proficiency testing in some or all of the above categories.

This worker should have the capability to lift to 25 pounds occasionally, along with the ability to push, pull, bend and twist frequently.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions.
The operator will be exposed to wet and humid conditions and have to work with some dust in the atmosphere.
Working in proximity with moving forklift trucks is required.
Due to the nature of this position, on-site attendance is mandatory . No responsibilities of this position may be completed remotely.
The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors such as work location, job-related skills, qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and relevant education and training.
