    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>Electrical Apprentice I</strong></p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">&nbsp;</p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>SUMMARY&nbsp;</strong></p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">Mortenson is currently seeking an<strong>&nbsp;Electrical Apprentice I&nbsp;</strong>that will assist with utility-scale projects, ensuring safety and compliance with electrical regulations while training under a journey-level electrician. Responsibilities include installing, repairing, and maintaining energy equipment.</p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">&nbsp;</p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using various hand tools</li><li>Safely use hand and power tools after proper training (drills, crimpers, cutters, etc.)</li><li>Lift, position, and fasten objects</li><li>Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools for electrical trades</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment</li><li>Work under immediate and close supervision according to standard instructions and procedures</li><li>Build relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels</li><li>Pull DC and MV wire and perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">&nbsp;</p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED</li><li>Some construction and/or electrical experience</li><li>Current driver’s license</li><li>Limited ability to read and interpret documents (safety regulations, blueprints, etc.</li><li>Ability to work with power and non-powered hand tools</li><li>Willingness to follow instructions and ask clarifying questions</li><li>Ability to work safely with electrical equipment</li><li>Knowledge of electrical systems</li><li>Ability to handle materials weighing up to 200 lbs</li><li>Strong teamwork orientation</li><li>Positive attitude and professional customer service skills</li><li>Active listening and effective communication skills</li><li>Ability to frequently work in heat and other weather conditions</li><li>Frequently crouch, kneel, squat, climb</li><li>Repetitive hand, arm, leg movement</li><li>*Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Please note: this position description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
