This position requires specialized expertise and certifications in heavy equipment maintenance, utilizing industry knowledge to diagnose, repair, and ensure the proper functioning of a variety of equipment.</p><p><u>Essential Job Functions:</u></p><ul><li>Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy construction equipment and diesel engines in the field and shop.</li><li>Troubleshoot various systems (electrical, engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, etc.) using service manuals and diagnostic tools.</li><li>Communicate repair issues to customers.</li><li>Order necessary parts for repairs and track backorders with the parts department.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance, including fluid checks, inspections, and oil/filter changes.</li><li>Complete and submit required paperwork, including reports, timecards, and warranty parts documentation.</li></ul><p><u>Skills &amp; Knowledge:</u></p><ul><li>Intermediate to Advanced Expertise in the repair and maintenance of heavy construction equipment and diesel engines.</li><li>Proficient in using hand tools, mechanized tools, jacks, hoists, and diagnostic equipment.</li><li>Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.</li><li>Skilled in rebuilding diesel engines and driveline components.</li><li>Proficient in repair management software for logging service work.</li><li>Strong communication skills to collaborate with other technicians and customers.</li></ul><p><u>Physical Demands/Working Environment:</u></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and/or pulling; climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant finger dexterity necessary.</li><li>Ability to lift 70 lbs.</li><li>Ability&nbsp;to operate a forklift&nbsp;safely.</li><li>Must be able to pass&nbsp;a pre-employment WorkSTEPS physical.</li><li>Requires passing a&nbsp;pre-employment&nbsp;background check and&nbsp;drug screen to the satisfaction of McClung-Logan Equipment Company.</li><li>This position is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise levels.</li><li>Must possess a clean MVR &amp; valid Driver&#39;s License&nbsp;</li><li>This&nbsp;job requires&nbsp;the ability&nbsp;to obtain a&nbsp;DOT Medical Certification.</li><li>Requires working and driving outdoors in various climates/temperatures and the possibility of sitting for an extended period</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
