About the role: As the Consumables Category Lead , you will be responsible for driving the strategic growth and profitability of the consumables category. You will lead category planning, vendor management, and performance analysis to ensure the category meets its business objectives. What will you do: Category Strategy: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities. Develop and implement long-term category development strategies aligned with overall business goals. Category Performance: Analyze category performance data (sales, inventory, customer reviews) to identify areas for improvement. Set and manage category targets, including sales forecasts and profitability goals. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress towards achieving objectives. Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors. Negotiate favorable commercial terms, including pricing, promotions, and exclusivity agreements. Ensure product quality and on-time delivery from vendors. Product Management: Develop and manage seasonal calendars for the category. Oversee product lifecycles, including identifying underperforming brands and developing exit strategies. Conduct product launches and promotions. Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the Category Specialist to ensure seamless category management execution. Qualifications Minimum 4 years of experience in e-commerce category management, performance marketing, or digital marketing within the Saudi Arabian market. Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing category growth strategies. Strong understanding of the market and consumer needs within the consumables category. Data-driven decision making: Ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Passion for online retail and a willingness to learn about new product categories. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt to change.
