A satellite emergency department affiliated with Boston Medical Center minutes to the premier academic medical centers of Boston.  Complete support by administration and leadership of this democratic group of emergency physicians and APPs where your opinion counts. We have three physician shifts and three overlapping shifts of nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Low to moderate acuity, potential admissions are </span><span>transferred</span><span> ED to ED for further evaluation and disposition. </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>This satellite emergency department provides emergency services for </span><span>35,000 patients</span><span> per year. </span><span>The facility is equipped with a level two laboratory and basic radiology services as well as CT and has recently undergone a $5 million renovation including a dedicated Fast Track area.</span><span> </span><span>There are certified interpreters on site to help with the diverse population that we serve as well as access to off-site interpreters 24/7.</span><span> BlueWater has partnered with NH to </span><span>manage</span><span> staff, and expand the service offered in the emergency department to better serve the community. </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>Neighbor</span><span>Health</span><span> has been a vital part of the East Boston community for over 50 years.  </span><span>Its mission is to provide easily accessible, affordable, appropriate, high-quality, personalized care for all who live and work in the surrounding communities, without regard to age, income, insurance status, language, culture, or social circumstances.</span><br></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>About the Area:</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>East Boston is a diverse residential area known for waterfront spaces like LoPresti and Piers parks, both overlooking the harbor and sandy Constitution Beach.
