This places us at the forefront of robotic and minimally invasive surgery, with the unique distinction of being the world&#39;s first hospital to receive the SRC Center of Excellence designation in Robotic Spine Surgery.</p><p>Duties:</p><p>Directly accountable for preventing hospital acquired infections related to hand-hygiene performance of self and staff<br>Under direct supervision, assists the operating surgeon in the care of patients in surgery and performs assigned selected duties.<br>Prepares for surgery in an acceptable time frame.<br>Prioritizes workload and prepares for the specific operative procedure utilizing appropriate Preference Care/Case Cart Requisition.<br>Demonstrates acceptable standards of aseptic technique when scrubbed and a working knowledge of the surgical procedure, instrumentation, supplies and equipment needed.<br>Responds appropriately to any unanticipated or emergency situation that may arise intra-operatively &amp; assists with CPR of patient during cardiac arrest.<br>Utilizes equipment properly, according to manufacturer&#39;s recommendation and adhering to OR protocols. Ensures OR is stocked and ready for each case.<br>Assures equipment is cleaned and maintained for use by the next staff member and/or patient.<br>Follows the hospital&#39;s policy and procedures on discarding contaminated and hazardous materials.<br>Maintains established hospital policies, procedures, directives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards appropriate to this position.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:<br>High School Diploma or Equivalency<br>Graduate of Accredited Surgical Technology Program approved by:<br>CAAHEP - Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or ABHES - Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br>CREDENTIALS + QUALIFICATIONS:<br>BLS by approved by AHA - American Heart Association<br>Surgical Technician Certification (CST) Authorized by: NBSTSA - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting</p><p>*Must be certified within 90 days of employment<br><br></p></div>\n",
