This role primarily focuses on developing new features and handling complex maintenance tasks, such as refactoring, troubleshooting challenging issues, and optimizing existing systems.</span></p>\n<p><span>Our Android projects share a C/C++ library, which integrates with NDK on Android.&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span>The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Android development and network knowledge while being eager to learn and adapt to new technologies.</span></p>\n<p><span><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Design and implement new features for Android.</span></li>\n <li><span>Maintain and improve our shared C/C++ library, ensuring seamless integration with NDK (Android).</span></li>\n <li><span>Work on complex maintenance tasks, including code refactoring, performance optimizations, and troubleshooting challenging technical issues.</span></li>\n <li><span>Write high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices.</span></li>\n <li><span>Debug and resolve complex issues across multiple platforms.</span></li>\n <li><span>Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies as needed.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>Requirements:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Strong programming experience in C/C++ with hands-on knowledge of NDK.</span></li>\n <li><span>Proficiency in developing native applications for Android (Java, Kotlin, NDK).</span></li>\n <li><span>Familiarity with networking, security, and performance optimization.</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience working with multi-platform shared libraries.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.</span></li>\n <li><span>Strong problem-solving skills, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a passion for coding.</span></li>\n <li><span>Eagerness to learn new technologies.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Experience with low-level system programming and networking protocols.</span></li>\n <li><span>Knowledge of cloud services and backend infrastructure.</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience with VPN technologies, network security, and SSL/TLS.</span></li>\n <li><span>If you're passionate about solving challenging technical problems and working on a multi-platform codebase, we'd love to hear from you!</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $117,000 - $143,000 annually.&nbsp; Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.&nbsp; Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Fortinet strives to provide you and your family with a comprehensive benefits package.
