    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>$17.64 / hour</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is responsible for the effective operation of the laundry department on a daily basis. The goal of the department is to produce clean spot‑free linens for the hotel in a timely and efficient manner.  To understand, operate, and perform all functions of the laundry department. Consistently strive to enhance overall operation of the department.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for washing, drying, and folding all housekeeping linen to assigned specifications.  Inspects all linen that is processed to ensure that it is free of stains, separating any stained linen to be retreated as reclaim linen.  Inspects all linen that is processed for damage and removes damaged items from service.</li>\n <li> Regulates laundry machinery to ensure all equipment is working correctly, and reports any damage or errors to management for repairs.  Maintains proper levels of chemicals needed to launder items. Adheres to all cleaning chemical and machine operating procedures.</li>\n <li>Stocks all linen closets and room attendant carts with appropriate supplies and linens daily. Furnishes necessary supplies to room attendants and guestrooms as assigned.  Completes laundry room cleaning projects as assigned.  </li>\n <li>Responsible for assisting in the monthly linen inventory.</li>\n <li>Completes any other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.</li>\n <li>Takes breaks and meal periods with posted schedule, Knott's Berry Farm, and California State policies.</li>\n <li>Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.</li>\n <li>Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.</li>\n <li>Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.</li>\n <li>Meets Six Flags' attendance requirements as outlined in Six Flags' attendance policies.</li>\n <li>Adheres to Six Flags' Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Other duties may be assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of the English language.</li>\n <li>Ability to perform physical and repetitious tasks.</li>\n <li>Flexible availability to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.</li>\n <li>Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.</li>\n <li>Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.</li>\n <li>Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.</li>\n</ul>",
