N. Chatham, NH.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Operating for over 100 years Cold River camp is located on the Maine/ New Hampshire border tucked away in peaceful Evans Notch. Cold River Camp is a full-service AMC facility offering individual cabin accommodations. White Mountain National Forrest (WMNF) rivers, ponds, back roads, and hiking trails abut Cold River Camp where guests launch daily adventures and outdoor exploration. Family-style meals are served in the lodge dining room. Guests stay for week-long sessions from late June through Labor Day.&nbsp;</p><p>More information about Cold River camp can be found by visiting <a href=\"http://www.outdoors.org\" target=\"_blank\">www.outdoors.org</a> or <a href=\"http://www.amccoldrivercamp.org\" target=\"_blank\">www.amccoldrivercamp.org</a>.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Summary Description</strong></p><p>The Head Cook position has overall responsibility for food service at Cold River Camp. &nbsp;The Head cook reports to the Managers(s) and supervises kitchen staff and crew. This position runs from Mid-June to late August with the possibility of additional off-season hours. Split Shifts run from 6:30am to 8:00pm with 2 days off per week coordinated with other staff.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Plan a healthful cuisine in keeping with Cold River Camp traditions and the nutritional needs and tastes of the guests.&nbsp;</li><li>Be responsible for all ordering and making sure that adequate supplies are on hand while being mindful of the budget.&nbsp;</li><li>Establish and maintain policies that ensure cleanliness and safety in all food preparation areas.&nbsp;</li><li>Supervise assistant cook, prep cook and crew while in the kitchen.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide alternatives for guests with dietary restrictions. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen to ensure guests with dietary restrictions are safely&nbsp;accommodated.</li><li>Meet New Hampshire Health Codes and Standards by always maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, dry-storage, refrigerator, and freezers. Meet updated cleaning and PPE requirements related to COVID-19&nbsp;</li><li>Bring any issues or concerns to the attention of the Manager(s).&nbsp;</li><li>Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Must be at least 21 years of age.</li><li>Exceptional customer service skills and outgoing friendly attitude&nbsp;</li><li>2+&nbsp;yrs. cooking, catering or supervisory experience in commercial food service operations.</li><li>Experienced with menu development, pricing, and food acquisition.&nbsp;</li><li>ServSafe Food Handler certification required.
