This position assists Pro Shop activities and coordinating golf-related services to enhance the member and guest experience. The Assistant Golf Professional is dedicated to promoting the game of golf while ensuring that operations align with company policies and operational standards. This role requires a proactive approach to staff training and development, effective merchandising strategies, and exceptional customer service, fostering a welcoming and engaging environment for all members.&nbsp;</p><p><br><strong>Reporting Structure</strong>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;• &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Reports to the Head Golf Professional&nbsp;</p><p><br><strong>Day to Day</strong><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Engage with members through golf events, personalized interactions and promotion of golf programs. Participate in rounds of golf as needed to support player development initiatives.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Support the cleanliness and organization of all outside areas, including staging zones, practice ranges and golf cart storage, ensuring a well-maintained environment.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Contribute to the success of golf activities by coordinating, promoting and managing tournaments and special golf-related events.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Assist in managing the handicap program, pro-shop operations and practice facilities to deliver seamless and efficient service for all members.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Provide guidance to golf attendants, pro-shop personnel and outside services staff on customer service excellence, tee time management, check-in procedures and guest fee processing.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Maintain consistency in operational procedures, including standards for staging areas, driving range setup and golf cart storage.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Support the promotion of golf clinics, private lessons and specialized programs for adults, juniors and seniors, fostering high member satisfaction and alignment with club standards.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Assist with budgeting, inventory planning and control by providing staff with guidance on inventory procedures, maintaining adequate stock levels, and overseeing product display, pricing strategies and promotions to drive ales and meet member needs.&nbsp;</p><p><br><strong>Additional Duties</strong>&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Due to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the team’s success.&nbsp;</p><p><br><strong><u>About You</u></strong><br>Required&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.&nbsp;<br>Preferred&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Completion of PGA certification preferred (minimum associate level).&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Proven ability to handle confidential information and sensitive employee matters with discretion and professionalism.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Commitment to upholding the highest level of ethical work standards.&nbsp;</p><p><br><strong>Physical Requirements</strong>&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Primarily outdoor work with frequent exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Requires sitting, standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and bending.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Involves regular use of sight, hearing, and speech.&nbsp;</p><p><br><strong>Primary Tools/Equipment</strong>&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Golf Clubs&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Golf Balls, Tees, and Markers&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Putting Mirrors/Mats&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Computer/Tablet&nbsp;</p><p><br><strong>Work Schedule</strong>&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines.&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Availability to work on weekends and/or holidays as required.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>What We Offer</u></strong><br>We believe in taking care of our team, and our Total Rewards package reflects that commitment.
