    "description_html": "<p><strong>Electric Machinery Company. a division of WEG Electric Corp.</strong></p><p><strong>Minneapolis, Minnesota</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Position: Assembler - 2nd Shift</p><p>Team: Assembly</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Primary Objective of Position:</strong></u></p><p>An Assembler is responsible for the assembly of motors, generators and drives.</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Major Areas of Accountability:</strong></u></p><ul><li>Assembles rotor assembly on synchronous, induction/turbo and laminated spider jobs</li><li>Assembles exciter rotor and stators</li><li>Rectifier assembly, steel, glastic and turbo diode wheels.</li><li>Final assembly of synchronous, vertical, turbo generator and induction motors.</li><li>Other sub assembly, such as FDR Assembly (spool wound), main terminal box assembly and GDS transmitter and exciter field power supply assembly.</li><li>Does layout, fabrication and assembly of conduit and piping.</li><li>Arc weld assemblies and sub-assemblies</li><li>Set up and operate balance stand, large and Static</li><li>Engraves and places name plates and green tags equipment</li><li>Works in other areas of the Assembly Team skills matrix, may prepare and paint product, procure lumber, shipping cartons, shipping supplies and tools. May prepare and package shipments in boxes, skids/crates.</li><li>Completes necessary QA/Customer documentation.</li><li>Lift and move materials using forklift, pallet jack, overhead crane or jib crane.</li><li>Demonstrates a commitment to Continuous Improvement by identifying opportunities in day-to-day work.</li><li>Performs to ISO 9001 Quality Standards and abides to OSHA and EPA regulations.</li></ul><p><u><strong>Knowledge/ Skills/Abilities:</strong></u></p><ul><li>High School degree or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude</li><li>Ability to be certified in overhead and Jib crane operation and forklift operation.</li><li>Ability to effectively communicate and work in small teams to assemble product</li></ul><p><u><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></u></p><ul><li>Routinely lifts and moves objects up to 20 lbs.</li><li>Occasionally lifts and moves objects up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Routinely ascends/descends ladders and stairs.</li><li>Occasionally works at heights or on platforms.</li><li>Occasionally positions self in various works spaces, including low, tight or confined spaces.</li><li>Routinely remains in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.</li><li>Routinely uses repetitive motions including the wrists, hands or fingers to operate machinery or tools.</li><li>Routinely operates machinery and power tools</li><li>Routinely moves from one work station to another to accomplish tasks.</li></ul><p><u><strong>Skills Matrix:</strong></u></p><p>The Assembler position is part of the Assembly Team skills Matrix. This position works as a team member utilizing and performing to the Assembly Team skills matrix, which outlines the comprehensive skills in the Assembly Team.</p><p><u><strong>Salary:</strong></u></p><p>· 1st Shift; salary range $20.00 hourly to $25.00 hourly</p><p>· 2nd Shift salary range $20.00 hourly to $25.00 hourly (plus $2.00/hour differential)</p><p>· Will compensate with experience.
