    "description": "<p>Mountain Engineering is seeking experienced candidates to support PG&amp;E's Distribution Vegetation Management Team in the Bay Area Region, Diablo Division .  The Contract Vegetation Program Manager (CVPM) position provides supervisory oversight and expert guidance in line clearance tree pruning and vegetation management in accordance with PG&amp;E's specifications and regulatory requirements. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Role &amp; Responsibilities</span> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic areas of responsibility are to assist the VM Program. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Help support operations and work on process improvement initiatives, schedule, and coordination of VM activities.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with difficult customers at the direction of the Program Manager (customer complaints, refusals, difficult access, agencies). </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>At the direction of the PG&amp;E Representative clarify expectations and program direction for PI and TT contractor employees. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with monitoring the progress and status of pre-inspection and tree work completion. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform database “sleuthing” to identify issues. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with agency meetings and field visits to review VM work as directed by the PG&amp;E Program Manager. </li>\n<li>Assist with management of projects – routine and non-routine. </li>\n<li>Assist in management of the contract review process.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications &amp; Requirements</span> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>As a supervisory level employee, at a minimum, a CVPM shall have a two-year degree in forestry or a related field, and/or  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Two (2) years’ experience in line clearance tree pruning work or equivalent as determined by the PG&amp;E Representative.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The CVPM shall exhibit supervisory capabilities and be familiar with the Contractor's work practices, proper arboricultural techniques and practices, proper integrated pest management practices, PG&amp;E's Tree Pruning Specification 5404, Pre-Inspection Specification 4851 and requirements, and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The above statements and job description are intended to describe the nature and level of work being performed within this job.  They are not intended to be a complete list of all responsibilities, duties, and tasks.  Other similar or additional duties are performed as assigned.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Demands</span> </p>\n<p>Sitting for long periods of time working at the computer or driving to job sites. Job site visits require walking on uneven ground, climbing, bending, stooping, and crawling in confined or enclosed spaces.  Some lifting of materials and equipment up to 50 lbs. Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. May work long hours during peak seasons. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Environment</span> </p>\n<p>Typical office environment with adequate temperatures and lighting, low levels of noise. Exposed to the conditions of job sites which can include loud noise, dust, fumes, and extreme weather conditions prevalent at the time.
