Your adventure begins here – because <span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Opportunity Changes Everything!</em></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Duties and Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned recreation programs.</li>\n<li>Develops, implements, coordinates, and evaluates plans and programs designed to ensure that the needs of children, youth, and families are met. </li>\n<li>Ensures that program standards, guidelines and policies of BGCO are maintained and that all licensing requirements are met.</li>\n<li>Assists with the recruitment of program staff and volunteers including conducting interviews, selection, hiring, and orientation.</li>\n<li>Authority for the day-to-day direction, performance feedback of program staff and volunteers. Addresses staff workplace issues and assists in resolving workplace disputes.</li>\n<li>Ensures that accurate program and client records are maintained, and that confidentiality is a priority.</li>\n<li>Responsible for the co-ordination of quality and diverse programming. Works closely with the Manager on program development, procedures, and evaluations.</li>\n<li>Liaises with community service providers and other professionals to coordinate service provision, facilitate referrals to the program and represent the organization and program in external events.</li>\n<li>Manages program budgets.</li>\n<li>Maintains related records and statistics and produces reports as required.</li>\n<li>Ensures effective communication with staff and families.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma in a related human/social service field</li>\n<li>Three (3) years of recent related experience including one (1) year supervisory or administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience</li>\n<li>Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and supervisory skills.</li>\n<li>First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain</li>\n<li>Class 5 Drivers Licence and willingness to obtain Class 4</li>\n<li>Successfully completion of the Agency screening process, including criminal record check</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hours: </span>35 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday, evenings and weekends required.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Rate of Pay: </span>$26.19 per hour</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Closing Date:</span> September 1, 2026</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>As an equal opportunity employer, BGC Okanagan is committed to the prioritization of equitable and inclusive employment practices.
