We are committed to providing an inclusive workplace and encourage candidates of all backgrounds to apply.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h2>Medication Technician</h2>\n<p><strong>Medication Support</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Assist with safe, proper administration of medications and treatments as ordered, following the Five Rights of Medication Administration</p></li>\n <li><p>Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of medications, including controlled substances</p></li>\n <li><p>Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to licensed nursing staff</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain accurate and timely documentation (e.g., change in condition, transfers, STOP & WATCH, electronic systems)</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Resident Care & Support</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility (per training and supervision guidelines)</p></li>\n <li><p>Respond promptly and respectfully to resident requests</p></li>\n <li><p>Support resident dignity, comfort, and personal preferences at all times</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Collaboration & Communication</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Participate in change-of-shift reports and care coordination</p></li>\n <li><p>Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members</p></li>\n <li><p>Assist with dining services as needed</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Safety, Compliance & Professional Standards</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Follow all Elderwood policies, procedures, and safety standards</p></li>\n <li><p>Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA compliance</p></li>\n <li><p>Participate in required training, meetings, and in-service education</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>From</h2>\n<h2>Up to</h2>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h2>Medication Technician</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Minimum age: 18 years</p></li>\n <li><p>Skilled Nursing Facilities: CNA or LNA required</p></li>\n <li><p>Vermont only: State authorization as a Medication Nurse Assistant (MNA) required</p></li>\n <li><p>Successful completion of a Medication Technician training program (preferred)</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to pass the Elderwood Medication Technician competency test</p></li>\n <li><p>High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)</p></li>\n <li><p>Long-term care experience (preferred)</p></li>\n <li><p>Completion of required RCA training modules within designated onboarding timeframe</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>EOE Statement</h2>Elderwood of Scallop Shell at Wakefield is an 80-bed skilled nursing facility (SNF) and is a location with the right amount of seclusion and accessibility featuring a beautiful courtyard, employee appreciation initiatives throughout the year, and an established reputation within the community for providing exceptional care!",
