The term will be a minimum of 14 weeks with the option to extend. Candidates should ideally be willing to provide a comprehensive handover to a full-time nanny/ nanny team when the time comes. The parents have already secured a candidate to cover the nighttime shift for the duration of the contract.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The family is looking for a calm, knowledgeable professional who can confidently guide them through the newborn stage while helping establish healthy routines and providing reassurance during this exciting transition into parenthood.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The Newborn Care Specialist will play a key role in supporting both the baby and parents during the early postpartum period. Responsibilities include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensuring the baby’s safety, comfort, and overall well-being at all times</li>\n <li>Establishing and implementing healthy sleep habits and age-appropriate overnight routines that parents can confidently continue after the contract concludes</li>\n <li>Providing thoughtful guidance and practical strategies to help maintain consistent daytime and nighttime schedules, setting the baby up for long-term sleep success</li>\n <li>Assisting with overnight feedings and newborn care, including diapering, soothing, burping, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene</li>\n <li>Supporting the mother’s breastfeeding goals by assisting with feedings and helping create a smooth overnight routine</li>\n <li>Offering general newborn-related support and education to first-time parents, helping them build confidence and familiarity with infant care</li>\n <li>Maintaining clear communication with the family regarding the baby’s sleep, feeding, and overall overnight progress</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Candidates should possess:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>A minimum of 6 years of verifiable experience working as a Newborn Care Specialist</li>\n <li>Extensive experience providing 24/7 care and support for newborns and first-time parents</li>\n <li>Outstanding professional references that demonstrate reliability, discretion, warmth, and expertise</li>\n <li>A calm, proactive, and collaborative approach to supporting families during the newborn stage</li>\n <li>Prior experience working with babies born via surrogacy is a plus, though not essential</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid U.S. Passport, Green Card, or Employment Authorization Card (EAC)</li>\n <li>Current vaccinations, including Flu, RSV, Tdap, and MMR</li>\n <li>Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification</li>\n <li>Must be pet friendly (the family have are 2 x dogs - both Cavalier King Charles Spaniels)</li>\n <li>Comfortable working in a fragrance-free home.</li>\n <li>Non-smoker / smoke-free lifestyle</li>\n <li>Availability to commit to the full contract term</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Salary and Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>The family are willing to offer a competitive rate for the right candidate</li>\n</ul>",
