We invite you to apply to join our team of employees who are dedicated to excellence that meet the needs of the warfighters and our customers around the world, day in and day out.\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment | Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairs units or products that have failed to meet requirements\n<h2>Impact of the Role</h2>\n<h3>General Profile</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Works with clearly defined methods and tasks that are described in detail </li>\n <li>Works under close supervision with little autonomy</li>\n <li>Requires little or no prior relevant training or work experience</li>\n <li>Performs manual tasks according to established procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Essential Functions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. </li>\n <li>Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. </li>\n <li>Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. </li>\n <li>May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. </li>\n <li>Keeps daily assembly production records. </li>\n <li>Maintains a clean and organized work environment. </li>\n <ul>\n  <h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Required education and experience:</strong> High School Diploma/GED required and 0-3 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience</li>\n   <li><strong>Other:</strong> Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required</li>\n  </ul>\n  <h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Preferred education and experience:</strong> Vocational/Technical Training Degree</li>\n   <li><strong>Knowledge, skills & abilities:</strong> Assembly. Calibration. Component installation. Soldering. Troubleshooting. Functional testing. Ability to understand and follow directions. Ability to lift/move heavy objects. Physical stamina.</li>\n  </ul>\n  <h2>Physical Requirements</h2>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.</li>\n   <li>Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.</li>\n   <li>Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.</li>\n   <li>May need to stand for long periods of time.</li>\n   <li>Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.</li>\n   <li>May be requested to work a different shift.</li>\n   <li>This position is Safety-Sensitive.</li>\n  </ul>\n  <h2>Travel Requirements</h2>No or very little travel likely.\n  <h2>Pay Range (USD)</h2>Min $35,700 Annu. - Max $48,300 Annu.\n  <h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.
