At Done Right Remediation, we understand the stress that comes with dealing with water damage, mold damage, fire damage, and moving/storage problems. We work with homeowners and commercial companies in need of these services. We are experience you can trust!
The Mitigation Supervisor position oversees all aspects of mitigation projects from start to finish. This hands-on leadership role requires both project management expertise and the ability to self-perform work on mid-size to smaller jobs. The ideal candidate will ensure quality execution, maintain client satisfaction, and lead crews effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Requires the efficient management of employees, temps, paperwork, sub-contractors and communication with municipalities, insurance adjusters and customers. You must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate sound working knowledge of cleaning and drying procedures and protocols. Overall, the Mitigation Supervisor supports the company in achieving its goals by effectively and efficiently managing assigned claims to ensure full accountability for our staff and workmanship by delivering a project that meets, and even exceeds, the customer’s expectations.
Responsibilities:
Cultivate a strong relationship with vendors, branches, Commercial Services Team, customers and prospects.
Responsible for surveying projects and providing quotes to potential customers. Follows-up to ensure company gains the business deal.
Project Management:
Oversee all phases of mitigation projects including water, fire, odor and mold damage restoration or remediation.
Coordinate and schedule crews, equipment, and materials to meet project timelines.
Conduct daily site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance. Ensures subcontractors are enforcing work and safety policies.
Manage and maintain project documentation including photos, daily logs, notes, records and completion reports.
Communicate regularly with clients, adjusters, and property managers regarding project status.
Ensure all work meets industry standards (IICRC) and company quality expectations.
Review and approve timesheets of assigned team members for project.
Order or request supplies and equipment per company policy.
Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response.
Scheduling projects; Creates plans, including setting target dates and adhering to deadlines.
Project amounts of material and labor needed for the project.
Prepares cost estimates for each project and maintains budgets accounting provides.
Must be extremely organized and maintain project schedules.
Hands-On Work:
Self-perform mitigation work on smaller projects including water extraction, minor demo, and drying.
Set up and monitor drying equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers, etc.)
Perform moisture readings and document drying progress.
Cleans contents onsite or at company drying rooms.
Execute emergency response services as needed.
Team Leadership:
Direct and supervise mitigation technicians on job sites or contents facilities.
Train crew members and others on proper techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
Conduct quality control inspections and provide feedback to improve performance.
Foster a culture of professionalism and customer service.
Handles and resolves customer complaints regarding services.
Performs quality control throughout project, to ensure high standards for the client on project.
Creates billing packets to submit for revenue support on accounts.
Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
2 years experience in similar roles preferred.
In depth knowledge of the restoration/remediation industry.
Estimating experience using Xactimate or similar software.
Previous supervisory or crew lead experience, preferred.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication and people skills to represent the company successfully and clearly to the public
Must have computer software proficiency with Windows, MS Office, Outlook and Microsoft Project.
Must be organized and self-motivated, pay attention to detail and require little direct supervision.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure and deadlines.
Strong sense of urgency.
Excellent ability to complete required paperwork correctly and punctuality.
Hard working team player who can easily adapt to changing needs.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and have a valid driver’s license
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, exposure to various weather conditions, and lift/carry equipment and materials up to 75 pounds.
Must be able to use power and handheld tools and assist team in cleaning or repairs.
Positive, proactive, and professional demeanor.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business principals, financial statements, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers or regulators.
Preferred qualifications, but not required:
• Subcontractor base
• IICRC certification in Fire, Water, and Mold restoration
• OSHA training and certification
