Crofton is seeking a Commercial Diver to join our team.</p>\n<p>.<br>The ideal Diver will have 2+ years of related experience, and a comprehensive knowledge of diving equipment and industry requirements. Must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation and able to pass a physical. Must be able to pass a Homeland Security background check to qualify for a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Duties/ Responsibilities:</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completing underwater construction activities using surface supplied air gear to inspect, repair, remove, or install equipment and/or structures, or underwater search and rescue, and use a variety of power and hand tools, such as drills, hammers, torches, and welding equipment.</li>\n<li>Carry out non-destructive testing and accurately report results.</li>\n<li>Conduct complete tool checks before operating equipment.</li>\n<li>Inspect and test docks, ships, buoyage systems, plant intakes and outflows, and underwater pipelines, cables, and sewers, using closed circuit television, still photography, and testing equipment.</li>\n<li>Recover objects by rigging around sunken objects, hooking/rigging to crane lines, and operating winches or derricks to raise objects.</li>\n<li>Operate underwater video, recording, and related equipment to investigate underwater structures.</li>\n<li>Salvage wrecked ships and/or their cargo, using pneumatic and hydraulic tools.</li>\n<li>Set or guide placement of pilings and sandbags to provide support for structures such as docks, bridges, cofferdams, and platforms.</li>\n<li>Ability to accurately read tape measures, precision scales, and calipers.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Required Skills/Abilities: </em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possess a current CPR First Aid/AED, emergency 02/DAN 02 certificate from a certified facility.</li>\n<li>Blood borne pathogen certificate preferred.</li>\n<li>OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.</li>\n<li>Must have Rigger certification from a reliable facility.</li>\n<li>ADCI card preferred, TWIC card is a plus.</li>\n<li>Current HAZWOPER a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Education and Experience:</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commercial Dive School Diploma and four dive logs.</li>\n<li>High School Degree or GED equivalent.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Physical and Environmental Requirements:  </em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Frequently lift, push, pull, reach and/or move up to 40 pounds.</li>\n<li>Must be able to work in zero visibility.</li>\n<li>Hand-eye coordination, quick reaction time, control precision, and manual dexterity.</li>\n<li>Must be situationally aware, able to safely work in a multiple work operation environment.</li>\n<li>Must be able to work outdoors under all weather conditions.</li>\n<li>Must be able to work at depths of 100 feet below and/or heights up to 100 feet.</li>\n<li>Must be physically and medically qualified to wear the required personal protective equipment.</li>\n<li>Must be able to read, write, hear, interact and communicate.</li>\n</ul>",
