Assist the Dental Director with the coordination of administrative procedures.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong><u>REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</u></strong></span></p><ol><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Graduate of an accredited school of Dentistry with Doctor Dental Surgery (DDS) degree or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD).</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Current California State Board of Dentistry License.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">CPR certification.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Current DEA Class 3 License.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Demonstrated work experience as a Dentist in private or clinical practice.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Must pass pre-employment drug screening.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Indian preference.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Must be fingerprinted and pass background check.</li></ol><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong><u>ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:</u></strong></span></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">1. Performs all skills as defined by the RRTHC Scope of Services.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">2. Provide routine dental care services including general restorative and preventative procedures, crown and bridge, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, prosthetics dentistry, identifying oral pathology and provide oral surgery.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">3. Provide dental care services, including obtaining dental history specific to the patient&#39;s current clinic visit, completing appropriate examination of patient, and developing treatment plan with appropriate follow up and writing prescriptions for required medication.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">4. Review patient charts preceding appointments and record visits in appropriate format.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">5. Provide clinical guidance and counsel to other clinic personnel.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">6. Supervise clinical procedures performed by Registered Dental Hygienists and Registered Dental Assistants.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">7. Record patient chart entries subjectively in Electronic Dental Record, following RRTHS policies and MediCal guidelines.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">8. Consult with clinic dental staff on patient care issues.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">9. Participate in the development, maintenance and review of dental department protocols, policies and standardized procedures.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">10. Ensure all OSHA, Dental Board, and Redding Rancheria Dental Clinic policies and procedures are properly followed.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">11. Interact with patients and instruct them on proper oral care and nutritional counselling</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">12. Train dental assistants.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">13. Obtains appropriate consultations or refer to specialists when problems presented are outside the scope of practice or when unfamiliar with a particular aspect of patient care.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">14. Work closely with medical personnel to provide care for medically complex patients.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">15. Share in administrative tasks including verification of PRC/benefits, hygiene sign offs/face to face encounters.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">16. Provide anxiolytic medication for dental phobic patients (Nitrous oxide).</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">17.
