Description
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS:
To be successful in this position, the Intermediate Green Keeper must possess past experience in golf course maintenance with the ability to perform general course maintenance in operating basic equipment.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
Operate equipment that is used in daily golf course maintenance. Mow fairways, greens, roughs, tees, and aprons, and approach areas not accessible with gang mowers. Rake sand traps with power rake, aerate greens and tees. Operate sod cutter, spray rigs and may assist in the fertilization of greens, tees, fairways, roughs and related areas. Maintain gasoline or diesel, oil and other equipment fluid levels daily. Report equipment problems and failures to mechanic immediately. Return equipment to designated location at the maintenance facility as directed by the mechanic or Assistant Superintendent properly cleaned and serviced. Oversee other maintenance associates while performing duties that include operation of equipment. Ensure safety of teammates as well as training on proper operation of equipment. Operate equipment safely and be aware of other associates in work area. Maintain flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager. Incorporate safe work practices in job performance. Attends staff meetings and all other duties as assigned.
