    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The <strong>Roadway Testing Technician (RTT)</strong> performs field testing, inspection, and documentation of construction materials and roadway construction activities on federal and state funded transportation and infrastructure projects. The individual ensures compliance with <strong>GDOT Standard Specifications, ASTM standards, and project quality control requirements</strong>. This position involves working directly on active construction sites performing soil, asphalt, and concrete testing while communicating results to project engineers, contractors, owners, and GDOT representatives.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">In addition to field responsibilities, the RTT will assist the Construction Services Project Manager with some project work.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Materials Testing</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform field density testing of soils and aggregates using nuclear density gauges in accordance with GDOT and ASTM standards.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct concrete field-testing including slump, air content, temperature, and casting cylinders for compressive strength testing.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform asphalt testing and inspection including temperature monitoring and sampling when required.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collect soil, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete samples for laboratory testing.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Construction Inspection</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Inspect subgrade preparation, compaction, and proof rolling activities.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Observe roadway base installation, grading, and paving operations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Verify compliance with GDOT Standard Specifications.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Inspect reinforcement placement, footings, and structural concrete operations when applicable.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Documentation &amp; Reporting</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Complete GDOT-required field reports and test documentation.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain accurate daily field logs, inspection reports, and test results.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Communicate testing results to project managers, contractors, owners, and GDOT personnel.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Identify and report non-conforming materials or construction practices.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Safety &amp; Compliance</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Follow GDOT safety requirements and company safety policies.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Properly handle, store, and transport nuclear density gauges in compliance with radiation safety standards.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensure testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Project Management</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Under the supervision of MC Squared&rsquo;s Project Manager, the RTT is expected to assist with the following project tasks:</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with the review and submission of daily reports</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Attend and assist with running all project meetings</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with the development of project cost proposals</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with the maintenance of federal and state project documentation</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with the review of contractors&rsquo; pay applications</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">GDOT Roadway Testing Technician (RTT) Certification</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">2+ years of construction materials testing or inspection experience</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\">Ability to travel to job sites across the CSRA (Central Savannah River Area) and East Georgia, with occasional travel to other regions as project needs dictate</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Knowledge of GDOT specifications, ASTM testing procedures, and roadway construction practices</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to read construction drawings and GDOT plans</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Valid driver&rsquo;s license with clean driving record</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\">High School Diploma or GED&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
