And national committees which contribute to the development and professional advancement of pharmacy practice.</span></li>\n   <li><span>Serving as a leader or facilitator on a regional or national professional organization.</span></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>Clinical Pharmacist J</strong></span><span><strong>ob Responsibilities:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Interprets, prepares, and verifies medication orders as appropriate</span>.</li>\n <li><span>Provides clinical consultation and cost-effective alternatives.</span>&nbsp;</li>\n <li><span>Issues controlled substances in compliance according to the DEA and VA Board of Pharmacy requirements.</span></li>\n <li><span>Participates in the medication formulary review and approval process.</span>&nbsp;</li>\n <li><span>Monitors drug therapies for interactions, allergies, and appropriateness.</span>&nbsp;</li>\n <li><span>Reports adverse drug reactions promptly and accurately.</span></li>\n <li><span>Minimizes non-formulary procurement and supports substitutions.</span></li>\n <li><span>Participates in decentralized rounding with clinical teams.</span></li>\n <li><span>Responds to emergent bedside alerts and codes (adult and pediatric as designated).</span></li>\n <li><span>Precepts learners as appropriate.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>May perform additional duties as assigned, including, but not limited to:&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span><strong>Education:</strong></span><span>&nbsp;</span><span>Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) or&nbsp;</span><span>Bachelor degree in Pharmacy</span><span>.</span></li>\n <li><span><strong>Experience:</strong> Five (5) years as a clinical Pharmacist.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span><strong>Licensure:</strong></span><span> Licensed Pharmacist in the state of VA.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span><strong>Certification:</strong></span><span>&nbsp;</span><span>Basic Life Support (BLS),&nbsp;</span><span>Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for Critical Care and Emergency Medicine, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>Preferred Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span><strong>Experience:</strong> PGY2 Pediatric Residency strongly recommended.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>#LI-MF1</span><span>&nbsp;</span></p>",
