PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Participates in the preparation of budgets and financial plans. Monitors budget and various reports to ensure accuracy. Collects and analyzes budget and personnel data. • Maintains records for the department. • Assists in developing and administering programs, procedures, goals and objectives. Develops methods to improve workflow and processes. • Coordinates various projects, special assignments and support activities as assigned. • Assists in maintaining various computer systems. • Prepares and processes documents relating to department personnel. • Responsible for printing and distributing various reports. • Conducts studies, analyzes responses and presents findings as assigned. • Responsible for managing and administering a specific function exclusive to the department. • Performs related duties as assigned. MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to this position are the following jobs: Job Title • Possibly some administrative and/or maintenance staff CHALLENGES • Organizing and analyzing data from numerous and diverse sources. • Monitoring budgets against actual financial activities. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and experience relating to this position. • Must have 5 or more years of applicable experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Usual office demands. • Requires remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time and constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery. • Service Area Requirement: Exempt (Non-Union) employees must live within the boundaries of the CTA Statutory Service Area either at the time of employment or within 6 months of beginning employment at CTA. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES • Must have superb computer skills. • Must be able to proficiently communicate both verbally and in writing. WORKING CONDITIONS • Usual office conditions.
