Serving customers in government &amp; defense, medical, safety &amp; security, energy, industrial, and robotics markets, we are strategically positioned across the Americas, Europe, and Asia to meet the needs of a worldwide customer base.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>The Role</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Responsible for the leadership and optimization of the staffing, systems and processes for inventories, purchasing, production planning, receiving, shipping and stockroom control to ensure timely and cost-effective availability of products and the achievement of Key Performance Indicators such as On Time Delivery, Purchase Price Variance, Inventory $, Inventory Turns and Customer Satisfaction.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Responsible for the leadership, direction and supervision of Purchasing, and Planning.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Responsible for being able to perform and train all phases of material sourcing including vendor identification/selection/qualification and material planning and analysis.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Plan annual production material sourcing, purchase contracting and supplier alliance while providing required material to meet volume and customer delivery commitments.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Accountable for development of material requirement plans from sales forecasts and orders for initiation and scheduling of purchases from outside vendors as well as production capacity planning to include scheduling of all shipments to customers.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Monitor delivery performance and quality of purchased material and develop cost control and improvement plans.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Accountable for internal communication of customer order status to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of product delivery and availability problems.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Participate in safety, loss prevention Lean manufacturing activities and various site and corporate cost reduction activities.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Tactical lead and process champion for S&amp;OP process.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Identify and guide opportunities for VMI and pull systems to control inventory levels.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Recommend and implement risk mitigation for eliminating excess and obsolete inventory.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Negotiate and manage kanban, consignment or supply agreements with suppliers.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Negotiate vendor contracts for best price/best value and other terms and conditions in support of corporate business plan.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Manage (in conjunction with production) actions and continuous improvement in the Cycle Count program to drive inventory accuracy.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Develop asset reclamation strategies for inventory, scrap, and/or equipment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Establish, forecast and measure targets for inventory levels and reductions.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Create, track and provide planning and supply chain KPIs.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Experience &amp; Education:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in operations, business, or related field; or equivalent education and experience.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">5+ years applicable work experience in role of increasing responsibility in a manufacturing environment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Planning, purchasing and inventory control management/supervisory experience required.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Purchasing (CPM) or Materials management (APICS) certification a plus.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems required</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">This position requires that the person be a highly organized individual, who is self-motivated, and can work independently.
