    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Vice President, Finance is a senior leader that is responsible for overseeing the company’s Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), M&A, Financial Shared Service, and Tax functions. This role partners closely with the President & CEO and executive leadership to drive capital strategy, financial planning, financial operations, and performance insights as a publicly traded company. The VP, Finance plays a critical role in supporting growth, enhancing operational efficiency, and delivering long-term shareholder value. This leader will champion and deliver continuous improvement and transformation across all areas of responsibility, strengthening processes, controls, and scalability. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Champion enterprise-wide continuous improvement and transformation across Treasury, FP&A, Financial Shared Services and Tax, driving process optimization, automation, scalability, and best-in-class finance capabilities.</li>\n <li>Drive enterprise financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range strategy, delivering actionable insights to executive leadership and the Board to support data-driven decision-making and shareholder value creation.</li>\n <li>Strengthen financial operations through standardized processes, and performance metrics that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.</li>\n <li>Serve as a strategic financial and tax partner to the President & CEO, and business unit leaders, aligning internal performance, and external reporting.</li>\n <li>Build and develop a high-performing finance organization, fostering accountability, innovation, and a culture of continuous improvement.</li>\n <li>Recommends capital strategy, liquidity management, and capital structure optimization, ensuring strong cash flow, balance sheet efficiency, disciplined capital allocation, and tax-efficient structures.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain relationships with investors, analysts, regulators, tax authorities, and key business partners, such as audit and legal advisors.</li>\n <li>Partners with Investor Relations to communicate with analysts and investors to ensure a consistent message is delivered with respect to Ferrellgas’s operations, prospects, and tax strategy.</li>\n <li>Support companywide strategic initiatives, including those with significant tax implications, M&A, or restructuring considerations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.</li>\n <li>An MBA or advanced degree is preferred. </li>\n <li>12+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles across Treasury, FP&A, Financial Shared Services, and/or Tax.</li>\n <li>Experience working in a publicly traded company, preferably within a complex, multi-site environment.</li>\n <li>Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior leadership.</li>\n <li>Strong experience and understanding of capital markets, cash flow management, financial planning, tax, and transactional finance operations.</li>\n <li>Extensive experience collaborating with investor relations to communicate financial performance, strategy, and key tax or accounting insights to stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Led large-scale process improvements and implemented sustainable operational changes that enhanced efficiency and overall performance.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical skills.</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong professional relationships.</li>\n <li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. </li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. </li>\n <li>Highly motivated, results oriented, and strong attention to detail. </li>\n <li>Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or otherwise authorized to work in the United States.</li>\n <li>Applicants must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why Ferrellgas?</strong></p>\n<p>At Ferrellgas we’re honored to be part of tight-knit communities across America and thousands of customers’ lives.
