We are seeking an experienced Software Developer who will provide full-stack java software development in support of the Data Transformation Solutions (DTS) TTO. The candidate will engineer end-to-end serverless architectures utilizing the AWS ecosystem. The candidate will contribute to innovative projects, working with cutting-edge technologies to deliver robust and scalable solutions. The candidate will play a crucial part in designing, developing, and deploying applications that meet our clients' evolving needs. The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade- offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components. **This position requires PRIVAC. Candidate must have a current (within 7 years) poly and/or currently possess the minimum level of PRIVAC required for this role (NSYS). ***This position is eligible for a $5k bonus! Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. Required Technical Skills Linux system administration experience (file system manipulation, monitoring and logging, troubleshooting; experience with command line tools: ps, netstat, top, SSH, grep) Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, automation and monitoring of tools and processes Kubernetes experience with the understanding of deployment, management, and configuration Docker experience (deployment, management, and configuration) Desired Technical Skills Desired Skills/Experience (but Highly Preferred): • Cloud computing skills (AWS) • Experience with scripting tools (bash, python, JavaScript, etc.) • Experience building and supporting VMs (preferably experience using one of the customer’s corporate solutions) Desired Skills/Experience: • Experience with Apache NiFi • Experience with visualization/reporting tools (Grafana, Kibana, etc.) • Experience with Jenkins • Experience hardening COTS application configurations The Benefits Package Wyetech believes in generously supporting employees as they prepare for retirement.
