    "description": "<h2>Position Overview</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Department:</strong> Sleep Lab</li>\n <li><strong>Schedule:</strong> Full-time Day Shift - 6:00am to 4:30pm, Tuesday - Friday</li>\n <li><strong>Work Location:</strong> UAB St. Vincent's Chilton County  </li>\n <li><strong>Benefits for eligible positions only include:</strong> generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Will Do</h2>\n<p>Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare patient and equipment for ordered testing. Interview patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures.</li>\n <li>Perform and document testing. Monitor patient throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.</li>\n <li>Collect, analyze and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs; score, interpret and report results of sleep studies.</li>\n <li>Prepare, calibrate, repair and maintain equipment required for testing. Determine and report needed repairs/replacements.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Will Need</h2>\n<p>Licensure / Certification / Registration:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.</li>\n <li>Currently registered as a Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) with a certificate from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or Registered Sleep Technologist with the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Education:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Preferences</h2>\n<p>No additional preferences.</p>\n<h2>About UAB St. Vincent’s</h2>\n<p>UAB St. Vincent’s, a proud part of UAB Medicine, is a trusted provider of health care, serving Alabama for more than 125 years.
