We provide: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Comprehensive health benefits that start day 1 </li>\n <li>Student Loan Repayment Assistance & Reimbursement Programs </li>\n <li>Family-focused benefits  </li>\n <li>Wellness incentives </li>\n <li>Ongoing mentorship, <em>development, </em>and leadership programs  </li>\n <li>And more  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Location: </strong>Atlanta, GA</p>\n<h2>Description</h2>\n<p><strong>OVERVIEW:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li> Oversees and manages the daily and strategic operations of multiple departments within hospital setting (inpatient and/or outpatient) </li>\n <li>Plans, directs, manages, coordinates and monitors the activities of clinical and/or non-clinical departments. </li>\n <li>Develops and implements strategic goals and objectives to maintain high quality patient care services. </li>\n <li>Accountable for the quality and service outcomes to achieve high quality staff, operations and clinical/departmental performance. </li>\n <li>Develops and directs health information/medical record format and content standards to assure complete, accurate, timely and compliant health information. </li>\n <li>Facilitates the use of health information for direct patient care, outcomes measurement, wellness, prevention, research, public health and policy development. </li>\n <li>Analyzes and synthesizes qualitative and quantitative health information for various needs. </li>\n <li>Directs and assures the availability of health information to patients and their caregivers. </li>\n <li>Manages and influences relationships with executives, physicians, unit/department directors, and various leadership within the hospital/system, and staff to achieve best in practice performance and business results. </li>\n <li>Works with various leaders and the senior management team to determine capital equipment, medical supplies, personnel and other fiscal requirements. </li>\n <li>Prepares budget recommendations; monitors and verifies expenditures. </li>\n <li>Ensures that the departments supported, operate within budget and in accordance with performance standards. Manages staff and employee performance. </li>\n <li>Resolves Human resource-related issues, determines staffing needs (clinical, clerical and administrative), interviews and hires staff. </li>\n <li>Provides on-going performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, verifies competency and identifies and suggests ways to develop skills.</li>\n <li> Develops and implements department policies and procedures including, but not limited to The Joint Commission, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.</li>\n <li> In collaboration with clinical/non-clinical teams, physicians, other leaders and providers, uses reengineering, work flow analyses, etc. to develop techniques and practices to improve the provision of health care services. </li>\n <li>Works with manager to formulate plan for professional development.</li>\n <li> Attends educational in-services as appropriate. </li>\n <li>Participates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong> MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Registered Health Information Administrator credential required. </li>\n <li>Bachelors degree in Health Information Management. </li>\n <li>7 to 10 years HIM experience with 5 years in management capacity. </li>\n <li>EHR/EMR experience required, Epic preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Details</h2>\n<p>Emory is an equal opportunity employer, and qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by state or federal law.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Emory Healthcare is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities upon request.
