As a comprehensive manufacturer of engineered composite products, Carfair Composites supplies quality fiberglass components to the original equipment manufacturers operating in agriculture, automotive, construction, transportation, commercial, food processing, and medical industries. \n\n POSITION SUMMARY: \n\nThe Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting daily operations in our manufacturing facility. Overseeing production schedules, ensuring quality standards, providing leadership to employees, and helping to improve our processes through Lean principles. They will manage and play a key role in keeping our plant running safely, efficiently, and profitably.\n\n WHAT YOU WILL DO: \n\n Production Leadership & Coordination \n\n·        Oversee daily production activities to ensure parts are made on time and meet quality standards.\n\n·        Plan labour needs based on schedules, sales orders, and delivery requirements.\n\n·        Monitor workforce attendance, punctuality, and productivity.\n\n·        Maintain strong employee relations, motivation, and team performance.\n\n Quality, Safety & Compliance \n\n·        Ensure all work instructions, procedures, and ISO quality standards are followed.\n\n·        Conduct annual internal audits and support corrective actions (CAPARs).\n\n·        Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; enforce PPE and safety rules.\n\n·        Support the RTW (Return to Work) program and identify suitable modified duties.\n\n Continuous Improvement & Lean \n\n·        Apply Lean principles to improve workflow, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.\n\n·        Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist with new layouts, methods, and procedures.\n\n·        Communicate changes clearly to the team and support documentation updates.\n\n Maintenance & Material Control \n\n·        Schedule and monitor routine equipment and plant maintenance.\n\n·        Control use of materials, tools, and supplies to reduce waste, scrap, and rework.\n\n·        Ensure plant openings, closings, and lock up procedures are followed.\n\nReporting, Planning & Communication\n\n·        Track labour hours, material usage, and production performance.\n\n·        Support planning departments with labour estimates, production hours, and cost information.\n\n·        Assist leadership during budget planning and discussions on equipment, staffing, and process improvements.\n\n·        Provide relevant labour related information for HR and union matters.\n\n Requirements:\n\n·        High school diploma or GED.\n\n·        8+ years of supervisory or related manufacturing experience, preferably in a production environment.\n\n·        Strong leadership and communication skills.\n\n·        Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety practices.\n\n·        Ability to manage schedules, labour planning, and daily operations.\n\n·        Comfortable working in a fast paced, hands on environment.\n\n·        Experience with Lean, continuous improvement, or process optimization is an asset.\n\n·        Ability to problem solve, make decisions, and lead teams through change.\n\n Benefits: \n\n OUR WHY:  We exist to move people.
