    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Position: </strong>Ministry Assistant </p>\n<p><strong>Department: </strong>Seaford Sussex Chapel, DE<strong>                              </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Availability of Position: </strong>ASAP<strong>          </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Schedule: </strong>FT; 40 hours              <strong>                </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Reporting Relationship: </strong>N/A</p>\n<p><strong>Salary/Grade: </strong>77          </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Salvation Army is hiring and offers truly excellent benefit package to eligible employees including:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Generous paid time off every year that includes: holidays, up to 3 personal days, vacation time and sick time.</li>\n <li> Employer funded Pension Plan (company contributions begin after 1 year of employment)</li>\n <li> Comprehensive health care coverage with low cost employee premiums, co-pays and deductibles</li>\n <li> Eligibility for supplemental insurance plans including Short Term Disability, AFLAC and Voluntary Term Life</li>\n <li> Flexible Spending Accounts</li>\n <li> Eligibility for the Federal Government’s Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program</li>\n <li> Most importantly – a job with a good purpose!</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Description of Position:        </strong></p>\n<p>The Ministry Assistant Works under the direction of the Corps Officers, provide support to all aspects of the Seaford Sussex Chapel Ministry, specifically the Family Support Outreach.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>DUTIES                    </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Program Management</em></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Build solid Christian outreach connections with social service clients and community at large parents for the expressed purpose of incorporating them into a parenting/family support weekly supper program. </li>\n <li>Develop and maintain programs and ministries that enhance children and teens' spiritual and emotional development.</li>\n <li>Provide leadership to the Sunday Children’s Ministry programs. </li>\n <li>Coordinate, plan, and execute Vacation Bible School.</li>\n <li>Recruit and train leaders to serve within the Youth Ministries Team.</li>\n <li>Oversee the process of sending campers to Camp Ladore, including recruitment, paperwork processing, utilizing Camp Minder, and providing transportation.</li>\n <li>Plan and lead weekly worship and youth fellowship time during the Family Supper Club Support.</li>\n <li>Support the Supper Club program by engaging and connecting with both parents and children while supporting and reinforcing the Pastoral efforts and office of the Corps Officers. </li>\n <li>Develop, plan, and execute weekly character-building programs that reach children and teens, including Music and Arts, Troops, Jr. Soldiers, Corps Cadets, and other similar programs.</li>\n <li>Create and maintain appropriate boundaries within all youth ministry programs, promoting safety.</li>\n <li>Promote and attend Divisional youth events.</li>\n <li>Support seasonal activities and special events like the annual Christmas/Kettle campaign. </li>\n <li>Actively support children within Corps programs by attending, encouraging, and supporting their school and afterschool activities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em> </em></strong></p>\n<p><strong><em>Administration</em></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain good record-keeping according to Salvation Army policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Provide good stewardship by staying within budgets and protecting Corps property and equipment.</li>\n <li>Follow all Salvation Army KeepSAfe policies to protect children and vulnerable adults. </li>\n <li>Be an active part of The Salvation Army team, including involvement in Corps events as requested, promoting other areas of Corps work, and promoting the mission of The Salvation Army.</li>\n <li>Keep work and program areas clean and organized.</li>\n <li>Attend staff meetings and training as requested.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned by supervisors.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in religious studies.
