Overview This job requires knowledge of occupational safety and health laws, rules regulations, standards, policies and procedures for the State of Delaware. Inspection of asbestos abatement and indoor air quality remediation projects for compliance will be emphasized. This position is being recruited in support of potential future contract awards, and qualified candidates may be considered for upcoming opportunities supporting federal government clients. Responsibilities EPA Asbestos approved training for Project Supervisor, Project Designer, and/or Delaware Asbestos Project Monitor Certification are preferred but not required. Performs technical work of a comprehensive nature involving data collection and research analysis used to determine and implement control measures. Work includes analyzing sample reports of dust, gas, vapors, and other potential toxic materials; investigating the adequacy of ventilation, equipment, materials and other conditions which may affect employees, health comfort or efficiency. Be able to conduct building surveys to determine safety limits of exposure to materials or conditions such as temperatures, noise, dust fumes, vapors, mists, gases, solvents, and radiation which are known or suspected of being real or potential detriments to health. This would also include sampling for Indoor Air Quality, Lead Base Paint and especially for Asbestos containing materials in person or with third party oversite. Collaborate with other technical professionals to institute control and remedial measures. Provides technical guidance to management labor organizations, governmental agencies regarding health-related problems as well as participating in educational meetings to instruct employees in matters pertaining to occupational health and prevention of accidents. This job requires knowledge of occupational safety and health laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures. Inspection of asbestos abatement projects for compliance will be emphasized. Perform the same duties outlined in the requirements of the Construction Project Manager for projects related to the remediation of environmental hazards. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Valid Driver's License Knowledge of occupational safety and health laws for the State of Delaware.
