Additionally, responsibilities encompass the development, implementation, and supervision of patent policies, procedures, and processes company-wide, as well as handling patent-related matters for designated Product Lines.</span></p>\n<p><span>&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span>Primary Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Serve as the primary intellectual property lead for assigned product line(s), aligning patent strategy with product development and business goals.</span></li>\n <li><span>Work closely with engineers and product teams to identify patentable innovations and guide inventors through the invention disclosure process.</span></li>\n <li><span>Lead product‑line patent committee discussions and make recommendations on patent filings, scope, and jurisdictions.</span></li>\n <li><span>Manage outside patent counsel and oversee patent drafting and prosecution to ensure quality, consistency, and cost control.</span></li>\n <li><span>Maintain and evaluate the patent portfolio for the product line, identifying gaps and opportunities to strengthen coverage.</span></li>\n <li><span>Act as a liaison between technical teams, legal leadership, and business stakeholders to translate technical innovation into effective IP protection.</span></li>\n <li><span>Track and report key IP metrics and communicate portfolio status, trends, and risks to management.</span></li>\n <li><span>Promote an innovation‑focused culture and ensure all activities comply with corporate IP policies and legal requirements.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span>Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Preferred candidate will have at&nbsp;least 3&nbsp;years of patent prosecution experience with a reputable law firm or company.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Prior corporate Intellectual Property management experience is a plus.</span></li>\n <li><span>Minimum BS in Engineering or Physics; an MS or Ph.D. would certainly be valued (other engineering disciplines will be considered as well).</span></li>\n <li><span>Must possess excellent interpersonal skills suitable engineering as well as executive management interaction.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Licensed to practice in front of the USPTO is desired.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span>Special Skills&nbsp;</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Excellent project management skills &nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills</span></li>\n <li><span>Proficiency in patent management software solutions.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment</span></li>\n <li><span>Proficiency in reviewing and analyzing patents with the ability to summarize the scope of the patents and communicate such scope (both orally and in written form) to a variety of stakeholders &nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Proficiency in various software programs/patent searching platforms</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>",
