    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Type:&nbsp;Adjunct/Part-Time<br>\n  Category:&nbsp;<a href=\"https://www.higheredjobs.com/faculty/search.cfm?JobCat=126\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Art</a></p>\n<p>Location:&nbsp;Graceland University<br><br>\n  Job Type:&nbsp;Part-Time&nbsp;<br><br>\n  Salary:&nbsp;$3,000 maximum; based on enrollment in Ceramics course.<br><br><br>\n  Position Summary:&nbsp;Graceland University is looking for an adjunct professor to teach a section of Ceramics in the Fall of 2026.</p>\n<p><br>\n  Required Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>MFA in Ceramics or Sculpture (with demonstrated expertise in Ceramics).</li>\n <li>Experience working within a college curriculum, showing an ability to follow syllabus guidelines and level appropriate assignments for the program.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and experience working with gas and electric kilns in a context of a ceramic studio.</li>\n <li>Experience teaching ceramics to undergraduate ceramics students, including: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Teaching/ demonstrating wheel throwing and handbuilding to freshman/ sophomore level college students.</li>\n   <li>Knowledge of and having experience teaching a variety of surface applications, such as greenware and glazing techniques.<br><br>\n     &nbsp;</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience working with art- and non-art majors in the context of a university.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a collaborative studio environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>To be considered for this position we will require an application, resume, cover letter, unofficial transcripts, pdf portfolio of personal work (10-15 images), and pdf portfolio of student work (10-15 images).<br><br>\n  *Unofficial transcripts are required for all Adjunct faculty and Faculty positions.</p>",
