This person must be able to have the flexibility to work with all the shifts as needed and drive efficiency through their own actions to meet customer needs and achieve standards related to cost, line efficiencies, safety, and productivity.</p><p><strong><u>Essential Functions and Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Leads a team of hourly teammates to ensure efficient production of products within their assigned facility.</li><li>Coaches team members on appropriate processes and facilitates problem solving through teamwork.</li><li>Tracks key performance indicators and anticipates and corrects trends which may have a negative impact on targeted metrics.</li><li>Ensures that safety practices are properly followed, including adherence to proper PPE requirements, forklift safety, role model behavior and maintaining clean and organized workspaces. &nbsp;</li><li>Works cross functionally with other departments to ensure that the lines continue to operate efficiently while minimizing downtime, meeting scheduling deadlines, and managing labor and teammate schedules to budget expectations.</li><li>Coordinates with Quality, Customer Operations, Safety and Maintenance to ensure smooth, efficient and continuous production and warehouse operations.</li><li>Encourages, promotes and implements cost-saving strategies and techniques through Lean Manufacturing and other principal programs.</li><li>Ensures that products meet all customer quality specifications before shipping.</li><li>Maintains compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, quality standards, HACCP systems, and safety standards.</li><li>Proactively seeks to correct unsafe conditions and reports any conditions that are not immediately resolved.</li><li>Maintains physical condition of production floor by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.</li><li>Continuously promotes motivation among the staff to strive for more efficient and productive manufacturing operations, including modeling and leading high standards of customer service, productivity and efficiency.</li><li>Coaches behaviors for team members on appropriate processes and facilitate problem solving through team work and the promotion of a respectful environment, to include conducting and leading team meetings.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Follows 5S principles in lab and office areas; embraces and practices continuous improvement program at Bowman Andros.</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Role Model, promote and assist with enforcing all Bowman Andros Products Food Safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP&rsquo;s) and Quality standards for all teammates.</li></ul><ul><li>Other duties, as needed.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or a minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership experience in a production environment preferred.</li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule to cover Production Supervisors paid time off.</li><li>Demonstrated planning, organizing, and project management skills.</li><li>Business acumen with the ability to align HR and Company strategic goals.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.</li><li>Prior knowledge of or ability to learn food safety, manufacturing processes, technologies, or other relevant areas of responsibility of manufacturing.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.</li><li>Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities change quickly.</li><li>Ability to learn the company&rsquo;s manufacturing management systems.</li><li>Regular and reliable attendance required.</li><li>Willing to work occasional overtime, as required.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Working Environment:</u> &nbsp;</strong></p><p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a teammate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The Relief Production Supervisor is required to work in the warehouse area, the production floor, and in an office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the teammate frequently will be required to sit and stand, as well as being exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat and/or cold. &nbsp;The teammate continuously works near moving mechanical parts. &nbsp;The teammate will be exposed to loud noises from machinery and thus will be required to wear PPE. &nbsp; The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be high at times due to mechanical equipment noise.</p><p><strong><u>Physical Demands:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be performed by a teammate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the teammate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, equipment or controls; reach with hands and arms, push, pull; see, talk and /or hear. The teammate frequently is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, sit, crouch, or crawl. The teammate is occasionally required to taste, touch or smell. &nbsp;</p><p>The teammates must frequently travel up and down stairs and other uneven work surfaces.
