Adjunct faculty members teach on a semester-by-semester basis. They are expected to perform all instruction-related duties and responsibilities promptly and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of Goodwin University. Adjunct faculty members report to the Director/Coordinator, who serves under the direction of the Dean.</span></p>\n\n<p>Essential Duties:</p>\n\n<p><span style=\"background-color:#FFFFFF;\">Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</span></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#FFFFFF;\">Abiding by and upholding Goodwin’s mission, policies, and core values</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#FFFFFF;\">Completing required professional development (e.g., FERPA)</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#FFFFFF;\">Teaching students in assigned course(s)</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#FFFFFF;\">Implementing assigned courses as designed and specified in approved syllabi.</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#FFFFFF;\">Using Canvas effectively</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#FFFFFF;\">Assigning grades based on specified criteria as delineated in course syllabi and posting the grades to Canvas and the University’s data systems</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#FFFFFF;\">Being available to students for individual consultation</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#FFFFFF;\">Assisting students with how to be successful in a college class</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#FFFFFF;\">Communicating promptly with their director, students, and staff</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#FFFFFF;\">Meeting all course and semester timelines, including submitting attendance, mid-term grades, and final grades by the specified due dates</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#FFFFFF;\">Staying current within the field of study</span></li>\n</ul>\n\n<p> </p>\n\n<p><b><u>Knowledge, Ability and Skill</u>:</b></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Demonstrated commitment to developing and fostering best practices and policies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and build an environment in which all members of the University community are treated with respect and dignity.</li>\n</ul>",
