The role is to support the design and growth of heat network infrastructure in the UK, so you may also be expected to visit prospective and active construction sites throughout the UK from time to time, as necessary. </p>\n<p>The nature of the business and our rapid growth means that the candidate has significant opportunity to develop their career in a friendly environment and progress as the company grows. We are looking to develop teams of engineers that will be able to grow into designing a variety of energy related systems. It is anticipated, therefore, that the candidate would be seeking to broaden their skills horizon.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position will differ from conventional design responsibilities in that the engineer will be given the opportunity to help ‘own’ design projects from inception through to operation. Following the handover to our Operations Team, the engineer will continue to monitor and evaluate feedback from the Operations Team to help refine and improve the design and all future designs.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline\">Specific Tasks</span></span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Participating on the design and delivery of new energy projects during the pre-construction and construction phases working with and supported by the wider Hemiko Team. In more detail this will include:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>General &amp; Emergency Lighting design,</li>\n<li>Small Power and Data,</li>\n<li>Containment,</li>\n<li>LV Distribution and single line diagrams,</li>\n<li>Automatic fire Alarm system,</li>\n<li>The production of detailed drawings, reports, calculations and specifications for different RIBA stages.</li>\n<li>Surveying and evaluating existing buildings energy systems.</li>\n<li>Coordinating the work of others and coordinating work with engineers of other discipline.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Candidate</span></span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer with excellent electrical engineering design, technical, and software skills who enjoys working collaboratively in dynamic multi-professional teams, assisting in all aspects of the delivery of projects from inception to completion to achieve outstanding results. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>You will be able to show you have had recent experience in this design area and you will have a keen interest in the field of low carbon energy engineering systems for domestic, commercial and industrial buildings.
