This isn’t residential pool cleaning. This is large-scale mechanical systems, structural restoration, and specialized aquatic equipment.</p><p><br></p><p>If you have experience in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical service, or construction — and you know your way around PVC glue and primer — we can teach you the aquatics side.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></p><p>No two days are the same. You’ll work on projects ranging from equipment upgrades to full facility renovations.</p><p>You’ll:</p><ul><li>Glue and prime PVC piping (a lot of it!)</li><li>Replace and repair pumps, motors, filters, and heaters</li><li>Install chemical automation systems</li><li>Troubleshoot mechanical systems</li><li>Perform plumbing repairs and equipment change-outs</li><li>Assist with plaster, tile, and concrete restoration</li><li>Install underwater lighting and specialty aquatic features</li><li>Support ADA and safety compliance upgrades</li><li>Conduct leak detection and underwater repairs</li></ul><p>If you’re coming from HVAC or plumbing, you’ll recognize many of the systems — just bigger, wetter, and more specialized.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Why This Role Is Different</strong></p><ul><li>You’re not doing the same service call 10 times a day.</li><li>You work on large commercial systems with real complexity.</li><li>You see tangible results — full facility transformations.</li><li>You build specialized skills most tradespeople don’t have.</li><li>You become part of a niche industry with long-term career stability.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><ul><li>Commercial job sites (schools, hotels, municipalities, athletic facilities)</li><li>Indoor and outdoor work</li><li>Regional travel</li><li>Physically active role (lifting, climbing, moving equipment)</li></ul><p><strong>Why Horizon?</strong></p><p>Renovating aquatic facilities is highly specialized.
