In order to become a Ryder employee you must:o Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hireo Pass a Ryder Drug Testo Pass a DOT physicalo Pass a Ryder road testo Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 yearsSafety Sensitive Position</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Important Note: </strong>Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Fuel vehicles</li>\n <li>Wash and detail vehicles; move heavy duty vehicles</li>\n <li>Perform multi-point inspection on inbound units as required by company policies and procedures; check tire pressure; report service issues to shop</li>\n <li>Record fuel activity and maintain proper fuel and DEF inventories and reconciliation</li>\n <li>Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies</li>\n <li>Perform some facility maintenance; perform minor maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor</li>\n <li>Change tires</li>\n <li>Inspect refrigeration units on trucks</li>\n <li>Empty trash</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em></em><em>Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
