    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Job purpose</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Skilled Carpenters and Assistant Foreman demonstrate advanced carpentry skills, site coordination, monitoring activities and safety of other workers. &nbsp;Must take on more of a leadership role in the absence of higher-level supervisor and train new employees. &nbsp;Construct and review building framework and structures and communicate with supervisors daily.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Duties and responsibilities</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Follow all Colt and site-specific safety procedure at all times!</li><li>Follow and execute directions given by Foreman and Site Superintendent</li><li>Communicate with supervisors.</li><li>Create a cut list from the given R.O. and wall sections.</li><li>Demonstrate basic plan reading skills while continuing to develop advanced plan reading skills.</li><li>Demonstrate ability to set up and motivate others to work productively.</li><li>Complete understanding of stair and roof framing</li><li>Eliminate issues in production before they become problems.</li><li>Anticipate tomorrow&rsquo;s work and set up for it.</li><li>Rough idea of materials and equipment needs.</li><li>Train carpenters and new employees</li><li>Execute production plan.</li><li>Run crew in absence of Foreman.</li><li>Understand, demonstrate, teach, and implement a complete safety plan for the job.</li><li>Actively work to increase job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>*Ability to perform duties/activities of workers supervised*</p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Safety knowledge and performance</li><li>Basic first aid/first responder knowledge</li><li>Demonstrate initiative on site.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe and efficient work area.</li><li>Possess aptitude for learning and application of newly acquired skills.</li><li>Previous work experience in the field</li><li>Speaks some English.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Working conditions</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Full-time position, requiring a minimum of 40 hours/week - often weekend work may be required, essentially whatever it takes to get the job done. &nbsp;Environmental factors depend on job location but may include extremely cold, extremely hot, and humid conditions in an effort to meet client expectations. &nbsp;Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and sometimes at extreme heights.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Function requirements</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.</li><li>Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.</li><li>Must be able to walk from the ground level to the top level of the project, sometimes this can be 5 flights of stairs or ladders.</li><li>Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at a time.</li><li>Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.</li><li>Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.</li><li>Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.</li><li>Must be able to use all tools of the trade, hand, and Power.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to work together in a team environment.</li></ul><p><br></p><hr><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>About Colt Builders Corp.</strong></p><p>Founded in 2004, Colt Builders is a turnkey multi-family commercial wood-framing partner with national reach and local management.
