Work Environment: Indoors (A/C); nonsmoking; the majority of this job function is performed in a manufacturing area exposed to machinery and noise; with eye protection and safety shoes required. Occasionally works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. What you will do Lead cleanup efforts in finishing lab (cleaning machines, floors, walls, furniture, transporting platforms), including equipment like wet separator vacuums and filter boxes. Assist with cleaning in the Machine Lab and CNC Machine Shop, including cleaning all sieves. Maintain a clean and safe manufacturing environment. Primarily responsible for the restocking of supplies. Remove and dispose of contaminated materials according to Protolabs Procedures. Assist in the general maintenance of equipment and power tools. Continually seek ways to improve work processes and individual performance. Follow and complete all applicable checklists. Observe and follow all Protolabs Safety and Quality policies and procedures, including use of any required PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed footwear, etc.) and safety/compliance training. Maintain collaborative and respectful working relationships. Perform other duties as assigned. What it takes High School Diploma or equivalent Must be able to follow instructions and focus on the specific details. Must possess good interpersonal skills and work well on a team in a fast-paced work environment. Must have the ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of both hands to grasp, manipulate and work on small objects. Must demonstrate the ability to learn new techniques. Must be able to operate and maintain a laboratory in a clean and safe manner. Must read and write English.
