    "description": "<p>Job Title: Data Engineer (Senior)</p>\n<p>Location: Redstone Arsenal</p>\n<p>Position Type: Full-Time</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Position Overview:<br>We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead data engineering efforts for the development and deployment of an advanced visual analytic application. This role will focus on building and optimizing large-scale data systems, integrating structured and semi-structured data streams, and enabling advanced data visualization and analytics through desktop and web applications. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in enterprise database design, high-performance computing, and the use of COTS, GOTS, and open-source tools to deliver actionable intelligence to mission-critical operations. An active Top Secret clearance is required.</p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the development of advanced data analytics capabilities integrated into visual analytic software for both desktop and web environments.</li>\n<li>Engineer and optimize large-scale relational databases to support high-throughput data ingestion and real-time analytics.</li>\n<li>Facilitate bulk analysis of relational and semi-structured data using advanced visualization tools, high-performance computing techniques, and specified technologies (COTS, GOTS, and open-source).</li>\n<li>Design and implement data pipelines and architectures that extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources into centralized, accessible formats.</li>\n<li>Establish data strategies for enterprise-scale systems, setting best practices and standards for performance, programming, and security.</li>\n<li>Integrate new applications and analytics systems with existing data warehouse architectures.</li>\n<li>Continuously evaluate and improve system performance and functionality to meet mission objectives.</li>\n<li>Develop and maintain data models, metadata repositories, and documentation to ensure transparency and maintainability.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with software developers, data scientists, and intelligence analysts to deliver scalable and secure analytic solutions.</li>\n<li>Translate complex business and technical requirements into robust data systems and workflows.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Required Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.</li>\n<li>Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, database development, or related roles.</li>\n<li>Active Top Secret clearance required.</li>\n<li>Strong expertise in designing and building large-scale relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).</li>\n<li>Proficiency in developing and maintaining ETL pipelines and working with structured/semi-structured data (e.g., JSON, XML, CSV).</li>\n<li>Experience with enterprise data warehouse architectures and integration of new systems into existing environments.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with big data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark), data modeling, and performance tuning.</li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with advanced data visualization and analytics platforms.</li>\n<li>Solid understanding of data security best practices, governance, and compliance in secure environments.</li>\n<li>Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in defense, intelligence, or government data environments.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with geospatial or temporal data visualization tools.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of cloud-based data services and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).</li>\n<li>Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.</li>\n<li>Experience with containerized environments and DevSecOps practices.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>ABOUT CINTEL, INC:</span></p>\n<p><span>Cintel Inc. is a Small Business providing strategies and services to support an array of Government clients in Software Development, Operational/Tactical and Installation/Facilities Energy, Cyber Security, Modeling and Simulation, Data Science, and Programmatic support.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>We offer our clients nimble, unique, and value focused solutions with an emphasis on people, connectivity, communication, and teamwork.
