The Laboratory Technician II will also be responsible for maintaining the laboratory equipment, supplies, and a clean and safe environment. \\n\\n&nbsp;\\n\\n&nbsp;\\n\\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\\n\\n\\n\\tPerform laboratory analysis of sugar products to ensure that they meet quality standards.\\n\\tTest for purity, moisture content, and other physical and chemical properties.\\n\\tDevelop and implement new testing methods.\\n\\tWork with other laboratory staff to troubleshoot problems and maintain equipment.\\n\\tComply with all applicable safety regulations and procedures.\\n\\tMaintain accurate records of laboratory results.\\n\\tTrain and mentor new laboratory analysts.\\n\\tPerforms other related projects and assignments as business dictates.\\n\\n\\n&nbsp;\\n\\n&nbsp;\\n\\nRepair Season\\n\\n\\n\\tMaintenance of samples, control of sample custody, traceability of samples.\\n\\tOperation of the valves of the molasses tanks.\\n\\tDaily analysis of molasses for shipment by rail; brix, pH, temperature, and sediment.\\n\\tCalibrate the cane juice sampling system.\\n\\tValidation of juice samples before crop season with NIR analysis (pol and brix).\\n\\tPreparation of samples for HPLC analysis.\\n\\tSOP&rsquo;s actualization review.\\n\\n\\n&nbsp;\\n\\n&nbsp;\\n\\nCrop Season\\n\\n\\n\\tFactory stock report.\\n\\tCalibration of pH meter, refractometer, polarimeter and NIR once per shift.\\n\\tPol and brix analysis of crusher juices clarified juice, molasses, sugar, mud, condensed water, imbibition water, cooling tower water and mill waste water.\\n\\tControl analysis of the sugar crystallization processes: Syrup, Massecuite A. Massecuite B.
