    "description": "<p>Baseball Operations &amp; Player Development Coach (<span style=\"color: rgb(224, 62, 45); font-weight: bold\">Assistant Coach - Part Time/ Stipend</span>)</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Opportunity:</p>\n<p>West Liberty University Baseball is seeking a highly motivated assistant coach to support player development and recruitment within a competitive NCAA Division II Program. This position is designed for an aspiring collegiate coach seeking hands-on experience, mentorship, and a clear pathway to career advancement.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Essential Functions of the Position:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mentorship from an experienced head coach with a commitment to professional development.</li>\n<li>Hands on responsibility and autonomy within the program</li>\n<li>Fall (non-championship) commitment: approximately 40 hours per week</li>\n<li>Spring (championship) commitment: approximately 40+ hours per week</li>\n<li>Summer (recruitment) commitment: approximately 30 hours per week</li>\n<li>Primary responsibilities:\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with player development and game strategy</li>\n<li>Coordinate scouting reports and opponent analysis</li>\n<li>Assist with recruiting efforts, including evaluation and communication</li>\n<li>Monitor and support the academic progress of student athletes</li>\n<li>Assist with practice planning and daily team operations</li>\n<li>Assist with strength &amp; conditioning sessions under the direction of the head coach and/or certified staff</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Opportunity to build a strong resume through meaningful on-field and recruiting responsibilities.</li>\n<li>Flexibility to pursue outside employment or graduate coursework</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Non-Salary Perks:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Opportunities to earn additional income through camps and clinics</li>\n<li>Gear and apparel package provided</li>\n<li>Flexible scheduling to accommodate outside employment or graduate school</li>\n<li>Free use of wellness facilities</li>\n<li>Free admission to WLU events with your Employee ID card</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Education &amp; Experience</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in related field.</li>\n<li>At least a year of coaching experience in baseball in high school, junior college, or college.
