    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">*Internal Applications Only*</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The role </span></p>\n<p>The Programs Support Officer is responsible for facilitating Children’s Hospital Foundation play and distraction programs for families at Queensland Children’s Hospital. This role supports the delivery of quality child facing entertainment and distraction programs and initiatives including Kidzone playroom, Loans, Bedside Play, and supports the Foundation’s in-kind donation program.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This is a casual opportunity to support program delivery in Kidzone from approximately 30 June 2026 to 30 July 2026. Hours will be approximately 8.00 am – 4.30pm, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Working closely with the Impact team and volunteers, you will be responsible for:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supporting the daily operational requirements of our Kidzone playroom.</li>\n<li>Providing support to children and families accessing our Kidzone playroom.</li>\n<li>Ensure Kidzone child minding is delivered within care restrictions and is considerate of children with higher needs.</li>\n<li>Supporting the delivery of our Loans, Bedside Play and gifting.</li>\n<li>Recording and maintaining data.</li>\n<li>Supporting the training and daily coordination and performance of program volunteers.</li>\n<li>Encouraging a positive culture amongst staff and volunteers demonstrated by leading by example.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Who are you? </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Someone who is child focused and committed to improvement for others and themselves.</li>\n<li>A team player who enjoys collaborating with and supporting others.</li>\n<li>You are passionate about making a real impact in the lives of sick kids.</li>\n<li>A warm and engaging person with a high level of emotional IQ, able to read a room and confidently interact with persons from all walks of life.</li>\n<li>You possess level of comfort to recognise and hold space for the emotive environment of a tertiary healthcare facility.</li>\n<li>Action orientated, not fearful of trying new things and enjoy responding to a fast-paced environment to complete tasks on time.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key criteria</span></p>\n<p>To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher preferred but not essential.</li>\n<li>First Aid Certification preferred but not essential.</li>\n<li>Min 1 year experience delivering social wellbeing programs and services in the healthcare, childcare or family service community, including completion of relevant documentation and reporting.</li>\n<li>Experience in creating and running children’s activities and providing supervision to multiple children.</li>\n<li>Experience with working with children and young people living with a disability.</li>\n<li>Experience in de-escalating children’s behaviours and high stress situations without bias.</li>\n<li>A strong understanding of professional boundaries, privacy and confidentiality.</li>\n<li>Ability to build rapport and relationships with a wide variety of people.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What is our difference? </span></p>\n<p>When you join the team, you’re not just doing another ‘job’.
