    "description": "<p>This position provides comprehensive coordinated primary and preventive health care services to an ethnically diverse patient population within their appropriate scope of practice.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Minimum Qualifications:</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Education</em></span></p>\n<p>Physician licensed to practice in the State of Alaska; Board Certified in appropriate primary care specialty.  </p>\n<p>Current certification in BLS.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Experience </em></span></p>\n<p>Graduation from residency program; three to five years experience practicing Family Practice with Obstetric care or Family Practice without Obstetric care, preferred.    </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Functions</span>:</p>\n<ol>\n<li>Report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start working. Remain at work for their entire work schedule.</li>\n<li>Provide direct outpatient patient care in accordance with productivity expectations.</li>\n<li>Coordinate inpatient care with other physicians at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and Denali Center.</li>\n<li>Provide consultation to Advanced Practice Providers.</li>\n<li>Provide after-hours call coverage in coordination with other medical staff ensuring continuity of patient care.</li>\n<li>Coordinate with Center’s and community’s providers ensuring delivery of integrated comprehensive primary care services.</li>\n<li>Maintains accurate and timely documentation of services, according to policy.</li>\n<li>Work as interdisciplinary team member with Clinical Supervisor, Nurse Case Manager, Behavioral Health Providers and clinical support staff.</li>\n<li>Participate in the Patient-Centered Medical Home activities, including oversight of pre-visit preparation and running daily team huddles.</li>\n<li>Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.</li>\n<li>Assist in development and review of clinical procedures.</li>\n<li>Remain current with standards of primary health care practice.</li>\n<li>Comply with center’s policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Utilize personal computer.</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ol>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</span></p>\n<p>Ability to support and work collaboratively with clinicians and administrators to oversee clinical and business plan.</p>\n<p>Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital within outpatient scope of practice.</p>\n<p>Experience in dealing with medically underserved populations and cultural competency.</p>\n<p>Ability to efficiently utilize the electronic medical record and other clinically required technology.</p>\n<p>Ability to coordinate care with physicians and other allied health and social service providers.</p>\n<p>Ability to provide consultation to Advanced Practice Providers (e.g. Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants).</p>\n<p>Excellent oral and written communication, problem solving and negotiation skills.</p>\n<p>Ability to work as a successful integrated multi-disciplinary primary health care team.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><br></p>",
