    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Cotiviti is seeking a <strong>Director, Business Architecture</strong> to build and lead the Business Architecture capability for the Payment Integrity business unit. This role will define how the business needs to work to support scale, reduce fragmentation, improve business-to-technology alignment, and enable more efficient execution across the operating model.</p>\n<p>This leader will clarify business capabilities, value streams, ownership, decision paths, and target-state operating models; identify redesign opportunities; and create the foundation for automation, AI enablement, innovation, and scalable transformation. The role requires a strategic leader who can understand complexity, challenge the status quo, and translate business priorities into clear business design and delivery decisions.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Build and lead the <strong>Business Architecture</strong> capability for the Payments business unit.</li>\n <li>Define and maintain <strong>business capabilities, value streams, ownership models, decision paths, and operating model views.</strong></li>\n <li>Lead analysis of business processes, handoffs, pain points, fragmentation, and decision gaps.</li>\n <li>Design <strong>target-state operating models and business flows</strong> that support scale, efficiency, and stronger execution.</li>\n <li>Strengthen <strong>business-to-technology translation</strong> so business priorities are reflected clearly in architecture, solution design, and delivery execution.</li>\n <li>Partner across Business, Operations, Product, PMO, and Technology to improve alignment and reduce friction.</li>\n <li>Identify and prioritize redesign opportunities that support <strong>automation, AI enablement, innovation, and scale.</strong></li>\n <li>Facilitate workshops and decision forums to align stakeholders on current-state issues, future-state design, and transformation priorities.</li>\n <li>Establish and standardize <strong>business architecture methods, templates, and artifacts</strong> across Payments, including value stream maps, capability maps, process flows, ownership matrices, decision rights, and target-state operating model documentation.</li>\n <li>Support executive decision-making through clear analysis, recommendations, and architecture outputs.</li>\n <li>Build talent and team capability to understand the business deeply, challenge the status quo, and innovate.</li>\n <li>Ensure business architecture work improves execution, reduces rework, and supports scalable change.</li>\n <li>Hire, develop, coach, lead and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that is able to assist in employing best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.</li>\n <li>Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.</li>\n <li>Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.</li>\n <li>Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and is not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required. This job description does not constitute an employment agreement and is subject to change as the needs of Cotiviti and requirements of the job change.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree required.</li>\n <li>10+ years of experience in Business Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, operating model design, business transformation, process excellence, strategy execution, or related disciplines.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience in both Business Architecture and Enterprise Architecture.</li>\n <li>Proven experience defining business capabilities, value streams, ownership models, decision paths, and target-state operating models.</li>\n <li>Strong experience translating business strategy into business architecture, operating model, and delivery decisions.</li>\n <li>Experience partnering across Business, Operations, Product, PMO, and Technology in a complex, matrixed environment.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to identify and drive innovation opportunities that improve efficiency, scalability, and business performance.</li>\n <li>Experience leading or supporting process redesign, automation, AI enablement, and scalable transformation initiatives.</li>\n <li>Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.</li>\n <li>Experience building alignment across senior stakeholders and influencing decisions without direct authority.</li>\n <li>Experience working in regulated, operationally complex, or highly structured environments.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s degree preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience in healthcare, payer operations, payments integrity, claims, or adjacent healthcare operations.</li>\n <li>Experience building or scaling a Business Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Process Excellence, or Transformation function.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with business capability modeling, value stream mapping, operating model design, architecture governance, and business architecture artifacts.</li>\n <li>Experience establishing business architecture methods, templates, and reusable artifacts.</li>\n <li>Experience influencing investment, prioritization, and operating model decisions through structured business architecture analysis.</li>\n <li>Experience supporting executive leaders through transformation, automation, innovation, and AI-related change.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Cognitive/Mental Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Communicating with others to exchange information.</li>\n <li>Problem-solving and thinking critically.</li>\n <li>Completing tasks independently.</li>\n <li>Interpreting data.</li>\n <li>Making timely decisions in the context of a workflow.</li>\n <li>Maintaining focus.</li>\n <li>Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.</li>\n <li>Applying established protocols in a timely manner.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.</li>\n <li>Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.</li>\n <li>Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.</li>\n <li>Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Base compensation ranges from $165,000 to $195,000  per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
